Kids use technology with content while engaging each other Builds: 1) Team Work              2) Problem Solving Skills               3) Tech Skills Student Engagement- They are already collaborating – Make it about content! Fact: Young adult women ages 18-29 are the power users of social networking; fully 89% of those who are online use the sites overall and 69% do so on an average day Build Social- It’s About Growing Competency
Rapid Movement away from cell calls to texts and access to social networking sites with mobile “School is Boring” Make the classroom like their life outside school Know the Kid of Today
Social Media – Adapt with it Article- USA today- Social Media finds place in classroom Eric Sheninger -"The Internet as we know it is the 21st century," he says. "It is what these students have known their whole lives.
