I found out each magazines editor, frequency of
production, first issue date, price, genre and target
audience.

Target Audience – The target audience for NME
is people who enjoy the music genres rock and
alternative. The audience will want to know
more about the artists and music they produce.
The age range of the target audience would be
around 17-30.

Genre – Rock/Alternative
Target Audience – Q magazines target audience
will again be like NME’s target audience as they
are a magazine which covers the same genre of
music and similar artists. The age range of the

These two magazines are rival magazines.
5. KERRANG

Target Audience –The target audience for
Kerrang magazine will be people who enjoy
Metal/Rock magazine. The magazine will be

6. MOJO

Target Audience – Mojo’s target audience will be
of an older age range compared to that of
NME’s and Q’s target audience. This is because
they look at older music and artists and some
new ones. It is again another rock magazine. I
would expect the audience’s age to be around
30+.
7. UNCUT

Genre – Classic Rock
Target Audience – The target audience to Uncut
is very similar to that of Mojo as it covers older
artists and older rock music. This genre of
music is known as classic rock as it is of an
older age. I would expect the ages of the buyers
to be 30+.
8. METAL HAMMER

Target Audience – The target audience for Metal
Hammer magazine would be similar to that of
Kerrang, an audience of around 18-30 who have
an interest in rock, metal music. This is a more
