It’s a social network - Think of all the social networks out there: Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, even YouTube. What do they have in common? User-generated content, two-way communication, almost in real-time
It’s a Facebook killer – Really? Facebook has 1 billion users, and many of them are on Facebook every day, for hours at a time. Google doesn’t have nearly that much…but then again, neither did Facebook
It’s a Juggernaut – Mark my words, Google+ is the real deal. It’s only going to get bigger. Google is the ONLY company in existence that can make a network like Google+ grow exponentially for the next 10,20, maybe even 100 years. Think about it – they own a lot of data. We willingly (or even begrudgingly) give it to them, too. Hell, even the NSA gets its data from Google!
Google is where it’s at. They’ve set themselves up for massive success and you can jump on or get left behind.
List every product or service google has: Search, YouTube, Gmail, Google+, images, Android, Fiber, Google Glass. Go here for a list - https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/products/
Note that this isn’t everything Google is doing. They are working on a car that drives itself. You think they won’t use that data to track your location, where you go, where you shop? It may seem scary, but at the end of the day, Google is the only company with the vision, financial resources, and DNA embedded in their culture to do this.
Wrap that in a neat, tightly integrated package:
Call it Google+
World Domination
Death of Facebook
Death of Twitter
Death of LinkedIn
OBJECTION
It’s a ghost town – there certainly isn’t as much interaction as in Facebook
Why this is good – this is a GREAT thing. Here’s why:
Your posts stay near the top of the stream longer. Facebook has become a cesspool of bitching, complaining, and outright meanness. Google+ isn’t that yet. Of course, it could become that.
For marketers, however, it’s a relatively clean environment that isn’t being used a lot (again “yet”) by marketers…and if you use it wisely, you can capitalize on that.
This isn’t the time to screw around
Yes, drop everything
DO THIS
Get onboard now. Take the “first mover advantage”.
Or don’t—at your own peril – this really is a no-brainer. Get on now and reap the benefits or be timid and lose precious time that you won’t be able to recover. It’s that simple.
