The True Colors program is one way of understanding yourself and others. It is a great teambuilder for groups of any size and its classroom applications are outstanding.
6. True Colors Evolution True Colors traces its roots to Hippocrates and his thoughts on personality types through to Carl Jung’s work and that of Myers and Briggs, David Keirsey, and Don Lowry who put it all together as True Colors
8. Participants discover their True Colors through a card sort, followed by a word sort. Scores show each person’s colors from “brightest” to “palest.”
9. In the brightening activity participants work in groups of 2 or 3, to see and celebrate: Strengths What are you good at? Joys What makes you happy? Value What is important to you? Needs What do you need? Brightening your colors
10. Based upon the group work we can review the core values of each color, and their attributes
12. Appreciating Differences Group discussion allows us to be aware of things that are misunderstood about us/ourcolor color.
13. Valuing Differences… Creating Unity We explore the value of having all colors in a group by doing a group activity using the strengths of each color.
14. True Colors at Work and at Home We have some practice in identifying co-worker colours: worksheet –work in pairs

16. Creating Esteem in All Ages We discuss how we can create esteem in others and ourselves
17. We do an exercise that shows the Power of a Supportive team
18. Using the Knowledge Group Discussion: how will you use True Colours at work starting tomorrow?
19. Finally We close with a short presentation on the value of appreciation
