2. The Right Fit
The Ottawa Race Weekend is one of the premier events held in the nation’s capital each May.
Over the years it has grown and evolved into a week-end that not only showcases the beauty and
Majesty of the National Capital Region but it has served as an inspiration to thousands of
participants, volunteers and spectators.
The Ottawa Race Week-end and it’s six separate running events engages everyone. Women, men,
families, kids, seniors; we have participants from the ages of 5 to 65 actively participating
throughout the entire weekend.
The tens of thousands of participants, spectators and volunteers represent health conscious,
active citizens who are engaged in their community and appreciate the benefits of a healthy
lifestyle.
It is an event that is promoted and marketed 365 days of the year and one that we believe would
be
mutually beneficial with a sponsorship partnership with (sponsor).
What follows is a quick overview of our event and a menu of sponsorship availability.

7. Marketing the Race
Our weekend enjoys a strong relationship with the local and national media.
We also work closely and advertise with the major running periodicals, i.e.
Runner’s World, Women’s Running and Canadian Running.
Locally our radio partners are Team 1200 (all sports), CFRA (news talk),
Majic 100 (adult contemporary) and BOB FM (classic hits).
Our English television partners are both CTV and CTV Two.provide.
We enjoy a great deal of editorial coverage in the days and months leading
into the race from both local English newspapers The Ottawa Citizen and
Ottawa Sun. We also enjoy a strong relationship with local the french
media, TVA, Le Droit, CJRC/CKTF.
