INTERVIEW METHOD
Three methods of interview
> Individual interview
>Technical conferences
>Group analysis data
Steps in interviewing method
>Preparation for the interview.
>opening the interview.
>Obtaining information.
> Verification of information.
Preparation for the interview>- The
questionnaire ,the task inventory or other
materials such as draft of task lists should
be given to the interviewees in advance.
Obtaining information >- The job analyst
while collecting data should focus his
attention on the contents of the job and not
the personality of the job
Verification of information>-It
should represent a sample of
good ,poor and average doers.
ADVANTAGES
>-The information obtained is more
reliable.
Disadvantages.
>- It is time consuming.
>-professional and managerial jobs
are more complicated to analyse and
also involves longer interviews.
CHECK LIST
Similar to the questionnaire , but are subjective
in nature.
>- Includes only yes or no questions.
>-can maintain
as100 activities and job holders tick only those
that are included in their jobs.
ADVANTAGES
Uses in large organisations that
have a large number of people
assigned to one particular job.
DISADVANTAGES
IT is costly.
Not suitable for small organisations.
