5. MAINTENANCE OF
CONCRETE
• Preventative maintenance
-To prevent appearance of visible deterioration on the
structure during service time. For example, in the winter
time, sealing compounds and coating can prevent the
concrete from damaging. It will totally waterproof concrete.
• Inspective maintenance
-Concrete must be inspected regularly to ensure that it is
receiving the maintenance necessary to retain serviceability.
Especially, for the underground concrete.
