2. START OF THE
NEWS
BROADCAST.
This is the beginning of the news
broadcast as you can tell they have done
a panning shot of the whole studio.
This particular shot is just before it
starts zooming in to a medium shot of
just the presenter.
In this shot you can see that she is
dressed very smart with a conservative
hair cut and makeup. Her body language
is up right as she needs to look interested
in what she is broadcasting because if she
wasn’t the audience wouldn’t listen to
her.
3. ACTUALITY
FOOTAGE
This is one of the actuality footages in
this broadcast.
The reason why they have done this is to
keep the audience interested in the story.
This also shows you where they are
talking about in the news broadcast, if they
didn’t put actuality footage in you would loose
interest in all the stories so much quicker as in
this broadcast there is about 6 different
actuality footages in it.
4.
This is a cut back to the studio from an
actuality footage that was just show live from
the scene that they were speaking about.
From this picture you can closely see that
her makeup is very much toned down but she is
still wearing some as they don’t want her to
look washed out on camera.
This shot is called a medium close up. You
can tell this as it is a bust up shot.
5. STATISTIC PAGE
This is one of the statistic pages
that they have filled the broadcast with.
The reason why they do this is
because they need something to keep
the audience amused while there actually
talking about a very boring subject.
The video they are playing behind
this statistic page is of the outside of
the bbc studio’s, the reason why they
have done this is because they are
talking about the senior management
pay off which is said to be £60 million.
6. CUT TO ANOTHER STUDIO.
This is a cut to another live
presenter that is in a different location.
The reason why they have put this
in is because this particular presenter is
the one that has done all the statistics
for this news broadcast, so the main
news presenter hands over to her to do
her specialist section of the broadcast.
7. WITNESS
This is a witness interview that one of
the news broadcasters that was over in
Cairo did with one of the protesters.
The reason why they have put a witness
interview in is because it gives the audience
the opinion of someone that is actually over
there witnessing the whole event.
The main reason they do it is to keep us
entertain and in some news stories we can
relate to them.
8. END SEQUENCE.
This is the end sequence which
is also played at the beginning of
the news.
This basically just tells you who
they are and how long its on for
along with there sequence theme
tune.
