ENERGY DEFINITION

Energy is the capacity of an object of doing a
                     work.

All objects need energy to work

Energy is measured in calories and joules.

To measure larger quantities we use kcal and kJ.

                  1 cal = 4.18 J
TYPES OF ENERGY

           MECHANICAL ENERGY

Kinetic energy: It is the energy related to
                  movement.

Potential energy: It is the energy related to the
            posititon of the objects.
ELECTRICAL
      ENERGY

It is the energy related
  to an electric current.
       Thanks to this
     energy, machines
  connected to sources
     of electricity work.
ELELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY

It is the energy transported by
electromagnetic fenomena. Luminous
energy is a type of electromagnetic
                 energy.
SOUND AND CHEMICAL ENERGY
SOUND ENERGY: CHEMICAL ENERGY:

   which vibrate absorbed.
NUCLEAR AND THERMAL

ENERGY SOURCES
Renewable energy sources

Wind energy: It is the
 energy produced by
 the wind.

Marine energy: It is the
 energy from the

 water.
Renewable energy
Biomass: It is produced from plant
  remains, forest and agriculture
  waste, high-energy plant and
organic waste in sewage. It is
  used to produced electricity and
  to transform fuel.

Geothermal energy: It comes from
heat stored in the earth's crust.
NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY
          SOURCES
Nuclear energy: It is the Coal: It was formed
energy inside the nuclei from the remains of
of atoms. plants. It is black and

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

produced by thermal emitted to the

ENERGY POWER STATIONS
Energy comes in different forms. The most usual
is electrical energy. It is easy to generate, and it
can also be generated through a lot of different
ways by varied types of power plants. Although
the word 'generated' is commonly used with the
word 'energy', it is a fact that energy cannot be
generated or destroyed. We can just change
the form of energy. At power plants too, energy
that is available in a particular form is converted
 into another form.
ENERGY POWER STATIONS
Nuclear power stations: Thermal power plants:
They work by the These power plants

ENERGY POWER STATIONS
WIND TURBINES: Wind turbines are used to generate
electricity from the kinetic energy of the wind.
However, a French engineering firm has recently
discovered another way of using this turbines.
By this method, the turbines can manufacture drinkable
 water from humid air.
Is this process is developed, turbines will allow some
isolated areas to be self-sufficient,because one turbien
can produce 1000 litres a day
For the moment, it is too expensive, but as time passes,it will
  have a more reasonable prize.
