In Catalonia we don’t
celebrate Halloween, we
celebrate «La Castanyada».

3·We eat chestnuts and sweet potatoes

4. WE MAKE «PANELLETS»
Ingredients:
*1.250g Potatoes
*2kg Sugar
*250g Almonds
*Coconuts
*Pine nuts
*Cherry
*Quince
*Eggs

5. WE MAKE «PANELLETS»
Recipe:
First take the potatoes, the sugar and the
almond. Then mix the ingredients with your
hands.

After we share the paste and we make small cakes.

12. CHESTNUTS PARTY
On Wednesday 31st of October we celebrate the
chestnut party.
In the afternoon we meet all the ZER (Prats
school, Prullans school, Montellà school, Lles school and
Martinet school) in Lles.
First we play some games.

Then we sing three songs of “La Castanyada”

Finally we eat sweet potatoes, chestnuts and
