you will be able to research
information about companies,
industries, and obtain access to
industry and executive directories.

3. Go to balibrary.org and click
on “Databases.”

4. Click on “Business and Careers”
or scroll down to Standard &
Poor’s NetAdvantage.

5. In the “Business, Careers, Technology”
page, click on “Standard & Poor’s
NetAdvantage.” You will need to enter
your Barrington Area Library card number.

6. Click on the “Companies” tab. It will
bring you to this page where you can
search for companies by name, as well
as Executives and Directors.

7. If you type in a company name, it will bring
you to this page where you can also see
the Ticker Number and the Region the
company is located. Click on the company
that you would like to research.

8. This is the business summary and
fact sheet. You can also look at vital
statistics, stock reports, corporation
records and news, as well as
industry surveys.

10. Back on the companies page, you
can also search for Executives and
Directors by company name.

11. You will get a list of Executive names, as
well as the company and company
address. Click on the name to see if
there is any biographical information
available.

12. If you click on the “Industries” tab at the top,
you will be able to read reports that Standard
& Poor’s publishes and updates regularly
throughout the year. Find out what the latest
Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and
Threats are in an industry. Click on “Sub-
Industry Review” for additional surveys.

13. In Sub-Industry Review, click the
drop-down menu for additional
industry reports.

14. The “Directories” tab will bring you to
this page, where you can search for
Security Dealers of North America and
the Register of Corporations,
Executives, and Directors.
