•“Managed Package”: This will automatically update when a developer pushes bug fixes and updates out
to orgs that have installed the managed package. It may not be fully customizable. APEX code
coverage is required to be included by the provider, and any code is not considered when determining
your own org’s code coverage.
•“Unmanaged Package”: This is a static, one time download of the package offerings. Generally most
components of the package will be editable, including code and custom pages.
•Force.com Native: A Native App is built on the Salesforce platform; all the data is stored in Salesforce,
and as an admin you can make some reasonable assumptions on how to report and customize theres
apps, as they use objects, fields etc; these are generally easier to maintain and easier to adapt.
•Salesforce1: This is ready for your Mobile users with minimal or no work.
•Lightning Ready: If you have taken the plunge and are a LEX enabled org, this App is ready for the
Lightning primetime. Read carefully to see if this is Lightning enabled, Lightning optimized, or Lightning
only.

• APEX Classes or Triggers: Is there Test Coverage?
• Reports and Dashboards: How customized are you?
