Messai Tadesse
Managing Partner
Messai Tadesse has an MBA from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, a Masters in
International Business Management from Sorbonne University in Paris, France, and a Masters in
International Finance from Coppead Graduate School of Business in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has
worked on numerous international business and strategy projects at the World Trade Center Atlanta for
various domestic and international clients.
Jesse Hollander
Managing Partner
Jesse Hollander received his MBA from Hult International Business School and a BA in Psychology
from Boston University. Jesse has extensive experience in international corporate development and
international marketing and has worked on several sustainability and innovation-led initiatives for
international and domestic corporations.
Michael Johnston
Data Analysis
Michael Johnston is a talented data analyst with extensive experience working in the local context in
Ethiopia. Recently, he built data visualization tools for strategic analysis and decision-making at a large
Ethiopian institution, and has been working in or studying Ethiopia for 5+ years. He holds a B.S. in
Mathematics and Computer Science from Birmingham-Southern College, focused on descriptive data
analysis and optimization of complex or unstructured problems respectively.
Chen Chen
China Analyst
Chen Chen is a senior electrical engineering student at University of Notre Dame and has received her
BS in mathematics from Saint Mary's College. A native Chinese, she has worked with the Hong Kong-
based AsiaCrest Capital for a summer updating databases of fund of hedge funds, endowment funds,
etc. She is currently involved in identifying and initiating contact with potential Chinese investors and
corporations that have strategic value in East Africa.
