Psychology of Adolescence
April 28, 2020
Child development is the undertaking growth of a child to
adolescent. It can become conscious in growing stage of
children by the representations of family, environment, peers,
and society as they are significant factors for child
development. During the transition from childhood to early
adolescence, children increasingly perceive members of high-
wealth groups as competent, hardworking, and smart, while
members of low-wealth groups are often associated with low
ability. It is important that parents should be careful and
provide every essential and necessary needs required for better
child development, in order to have better behaviour towards
racial concerns, inter groups, and inter wealth peers.
Race and wealth are two significant factors that children think
about carefully while making peer groups. We can see through
the cognitive, motivational, or emotional developments that how
children come into sight to have a natural ability to adapt what
they see and experience around them. Therefore, a parent should
always make certain of a life that they themselves have adapted.
The children who do not get proper requirements and
environment around them suffer to perform life in the society.
Following the age children consider looking forward for “high-
wealth" groups with an increasing extent as they find it “more
exclusive” when compared to low wealth group.
The difference of experience in child development clearly needs
to be looked after particularly by parents, they should ensure to
perform talking skills with their children, listen and console.
Parents have to be sure about the consistency and routine of the
child that gives a sense of safety and support. The focal point is
always building an independent nature in child and support
healthy growth and development in areas of race, wealth, and
peers. It is also significant to make certain of the parenting
style in a parental interaction with child because those
interactions influence the development of child. Parenting style
also depend in the behaviour of the child and the circumstances
that are provided to family. During the age of 3 to 6 years
children go through the cognitive, physical, and language
development.
Physical development is a process that involves changes in
weight and height of a child and development of motor skills.
The process stages into early childhood development, middle
childhood, and adolescence. In the start of the physical
development there are basic needs that a parent cannot avoid for
the development of child such as food, shelter, safety, and care.
Children in the childhood experience develop the capability of
creating relation with other and making peers, on basis of what
they feel comfortable with; therefore, it is significant for a
parent to help to influence a child's capacity. Moreover, it is
important to come across the age-related changes of frame of
mind about inter-wealth and interracial peer exclusion in
childhood. It can lay out the personal effects for bringing down
the stereotypes and prejudice for or against a group, especially
in a way considered to be unfair.
Cognitive development is the process that occurs in children to
perceive the ideas of relationships and capabilities to focus,
remember, and think. Parents should provide the proper
guidance and help children to enhance their problem solving
and knowledge and improve their analytical skills. Moreover,
children’s thoughts about inter-wealth and interracial give a
confirmation in concern of depletion in negative peer
communication form on Intergroup belonging, besides the
encouragement interracial friendship. During the development
children also come through the ability to control and reply to
incidents and personal experiences. This development also
involves parents to act in calm and steady manner towards
children to develop a positive atmosphere, if failed the child
lacks confidence in participating in any activity for
development.
Language development is the processing in which children learn
to understand and use the language to converse and convey their
feelings. It is a significant part of all the developments as it is
beginning of the education and literacy. During the childhood,
parents have to be careful about the verbal interaction with
children and try to converse with them as much as possible in
order to have an important impact on the development of racial
and wealth content. Labelling these abstract ideas in children is
also significant as it helps to develop a capacity of avoiding
negative beliefs in children.
In order to develop a positive and strong character, parents have
to create an atmosphere where the children do not feel the fear
of rejection, desire for pride, wealth obsession, and racial
discrimination. The family should rather have the environment
where children feel comfortable and social; it is also important
to have a disciplined routine followed by children. It is
essential for child development that the members of the family
conduct themselves in an educated manner to develop the
characteristics that one can adopt. These are the experiences
that a child mostly looks forward for when adolescents,
therefore parents should always consider to be developed
themselves.
It is important to understand the order of thoughts and
emotions, language, and physical changes that appear in child
during the time he/she turn into adults. It is practicable that the
children connect with wealthy peers in the practice of
exclusion, marked by a legitimate reason by idea of a particular
type of adolescents showing a connection with high-wealth
groups to disagreeable distinguished quality. Child
development is affected by surrounding environmental and
children’s ability, it is significant to study the behaviour,
growth, changes, and character. Parents have an essential duty
to appreciate the physical, cognitive, emotional, and language
developments occurring from birth to adultery.
I considered on all chapters that we covered and used in
understanding the child development, it is very important to be
involved with the children to the maximum. The study of child
development had no short coming in limitations for authors
findings, the quality of the finding was flexible. The procedure
and techniques used by me to identify, analyse, and process
were available with my ability to understand the research. The
research allowed me to form a better opinion on the quality of
being logically sound and trustworthy for performing well
consistently. The way of the procedure for better child
development should be also followed by every parents of every
ethnicity to create a sense of comfort and social behaviour in
children.
It is very important that children social skill should not create a
problem for him or her as it leads to behaviours like not going
to school and not interacting socially. Parents have the
responsibility of handling such situations, they need to work on
children’s fear of shyness and at the same time have to prevent
themselves from creating threatening behaviours. Considering
the behaviour towards wealth and race, it is possible to lack the
influence of other circumstances that contribute to a result on
certain child developments. Furthermore, parents can always
keep their children busy with practice like speaking at home,
read the story book, talk about feelings, and focus on the
reading and speaking skills. Parents must always pay attention
to the child’s behaviour and growth and develop their ethics by
displaying the positive behaviour.

Parents have the responsibility of handling such situations, they need to work on children’s fear of shyness and at the same time have to prevent themselves from creating threatening behaviours. Considering the behaviour towards wealth and race, it is possible to lack the influence of other circumstances that contribute to a result on certain child developments. Furthermore, parents can always keep their children busy with practice like speaking at home, read the story book, talk about feelings, and focus on the reading and speaking skills. Parents must always pay attention to the child’s behaviour and growth and develop their ethics by displaying the positive behaviour. Reference: Burkholder, A. R., Elenbaas, L. R., & Killen, M. R.
