The Direct Method is named “direct” because meaning should be
connected directly with the target language without translation into
the native language.Basically, the Direct Method aims to provide
language learners with a practically useful Knowledge of language.

 Never speak with single words: use sentences.
 Practice of vocabulary in completes sentences.
 Vocabulary is taught through known words ,demonstration , authentic
objects (realia), pictures , and miming.
 Never speak too much: make student speak much.
 Work on four skills, emphasizing listening and speaking.
 Never speak formal but speak naturally.
 Not memorization but production.
