The Needs of Domestic
Teams
• Domestic teams are different from global
teams. Unlike global teams, domestic
teams:
Are located in the same country
Do not have to work across the wide variety of
differences that challenge global teams (e.g.
geographic boundaries, time zones,
calendars, languages, cultures)

Teams
• Domestic teams are different from action-
learning teams. Unlike action learning
teams, domestic teams:
have a team leader. (Domestic team
members are not self-directed)
typically work in settings and on problems
with which they are familiar (this is not the
case for action learning teams)

interaction with the leader, role and goal
clarity, alignment with the organization,
trust, etc.
