- First this map shows the impact of humans on ecosystems, green means areas were humans have little or no influence, mainly in the biodiversity poor inhospitable area in the Sahara region. When we look at the rain forests i,n the center, virtually no ear is free of human pressure. The second threat is from climate change and one study suggested that as many as 90% of all plants species will loose their natural habit by the end of this century.
- Compiling such a dataset would not be possible without a clear structure and project. Difficult to fund these projects in more common funding schemes.
