2. Front cover- Flower garden outside
Kitson
With this picture. There is a very casual
look as this represents the idea of college
life and what the college offers. The idea
of the front cover photo being taken in
this garden is to represent peace and
tranquillity and the fact that the college
life is quite a relaxed life, a lot more
relaxed compare d to secondary school.
The Target Audience for this magazine
would mainly be college students, so from
an age of 16 to 18 years old. This is
because it links to the name of the
Masthead and the main target audience
was always college students.
3. Contents page- Library
This picture was taken in the college’s
library. In terms of Mise-en-scene, you can
see textbooks in the library. This may
symbolise the idea of the students
studying and set an example. A library for
some people may represent somewhere
that is quite where there is no disruption
which could be where you could read this
magazine.
4. Contents page- Picture of student on
white background
The picture that can be seen here is taken on a
white background. This has been taken inside so
the lighting of this image is being control by
photography lights which means it can help get
the perfect lighting/image. The model in this
photo, who is a student is holding some books
and folders. This would fit the stereotype of a
student and it is the main equipment we would
generalise a student to acquire.
5. Contents page- Art Block
This image was taken in the Art Block. The
reason for this was that with there being a lot
of art related work/projects in this building, I
believe that it expresses the creativity of the
college and the creativeness of the younger
generation and how things are progressing in
everyday society. This also represents my
target audience as it displays the work of the
younger generation and the talent that they
offer to the college and society.
6. Contents page- Staircase in Kitson
In this photo taken on the staircase of
Kitson, there is not much that is
expressed that you can talk about in
terms of Mise-en-scene except the very
casual dress of the college students
which may represent there
independence as they can express
themselves in their own way. This is a
good photo for displaying my target
audience as the image includes people
(students) who my magazine is aimed at.
