The document discusses several methods for immobilizing cells and enzymes, including entrapment in chitosan beads, agarose gel droplets, and kappa carrageenan gel. It also describes immobilizing cells on activated porous silica supports by adding yeast cells in buffer to titanium-treated pumice stone. The immobilized biocatalysts can be used for continuous bioprocesses.
