organization which works on the concept of “making an
India which places its person with disability on the same
platform as the non-disabled citizens”
Amar jyoti charitable trust – organizations that sees ability and
talent in disability of children.
This trust started in the year 1981 by DR. Mrs. UMA TULI in
DELHI, as a help and support to the disabled children at a very
lower level
After getting success amar jyoti had spreaded its wings and
opened a branch in Gwalior – the city of historic places, in the
year 1989, named amar jyoti school and rehabilitation center.
5. Dr. Uma Tuli is the Founder & Managing
Secretary of Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust
which is based in Delhi with a branch in
Gwalior.
Born on March 3, 1943, Dr. Tuli obtained her
Master’s Degree from Jiwaji University, Gwalior
Ph.D in English Literature from the University of Delhi and M.Ed
in Special Education from the University of Manchester, UK. She
was conferred Doctor of Laws, from Roehampton University,
London in recognition of her extraordinary commitment to
inclusivity.
The most recent recognition is the highest civilian award of
Padma Shri conferred on March 22, 2012.

treated as disabled people but they have extra talents
that less people (Who care for them) know about it
which influence others so we have to appreciate that
talents and encourage their work so that they will live
as a normal life and live happily without complain.
