CLONING
HUMAN CLONING

AshLynn Truman
Background
 The first cloned sheep, Dolly, inspired
    scientists to clone humans.
 Cloned animals age faster than regular
    animals.
 Dolly isn’t the first clone of an animal, but the
first clone of an adult animal.
FAQ’s

 Cloning is the process of making a genetically
    identical organism through nonsexual means.
 Reproductive cloning is the cloning of humans
    or animals.
Cons
 Human cloning is unethical.
 Allcatholic religions are against cloning and
believe that life begins with conception.
Cons cont.
 Cloning is very expensive.
 Notonly is it expensive, it has a very high failure
rate. For every 1000 tries only 30 clones are
     made.
Cons cont.
 Human cloning can be very harmful to
    humanity.
 Cloning can devalue the life of a human.
Pros
 Cloning can help with those who can’t have
children, or with those who have lost a child.
 Homosexuals will be able to have children with
      their own genes.
Rebuttals
 Couples who can’t have children can still
    adopt.
 Homosexuals shouldn’t be allowed to marry in
    the first place.
 Cloning a deceased child would degrade
    human life.
Benefits
 One new disease wouldn’t be able to wipe out
    an entire population.
 Every individual will stay unique.
Conclusion
 Even though cloning seems like such a cool
idea, I believe it could ruin us all. If every
human being can be duplicated, then what’s
    the point of being you?
