2. Day 1: Arrival - Transfer to Akagera - Evening Boat Trip.
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, meet and greet our company representative and leave
for Akagera national park right after your briefing.
The journey to Akagera national park takes about 2.5 hours depending on the stopovers along
the way. With the beautiful landscape en route to the park, feel free to ask the guide for stopovers
to capture some photos. On arrival at the park, we shall proceed to our accommodation after a
short game drive and check in. We order lunch and later take a boat trip on Lake Ihema to watch
Hippos and crocodiles in the water or by the shores.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drives - Transfer to Kigali in the evening.
We arise early and leave right after breakfast for a game drive in Akagera national park. We will
be searching for the big mammals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, several Antelope species, and
recently the re-introduced Lions and Rhinos. The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a birders
haven with over 500 bird species in the park.
You will leave the lodge with parked lunch for the game drive which will last about 6 hours
depending on your interests before starting the journey back to Kigali. You will take the route
along the lake which more often has a variety of animals.

Day 3: Genocide Museum. Transfer to Bwindi.
After breakfast, we start our city tour with a visit to the Genocide memorial centre for an
emotional experience to witness the graveyard of thousands of Rwandan Genocide victims
including young children. Later start your journey to cross over to Uganda for yet another
exciting adventure safari.
The drive will take you through different features including tropical rain forests, savannah fields
and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Arrival is the
late evening for relaxation.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking- Batwa Pygmy Visit in the Evening
Wake up to a tasty breakfast in the biting coldness of Bwindi. Enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee,
grab your packed lunch and head out to the pack headquarters – just a short distance from the
lodge. Here, you will receive briefing about the dos and don’ts of Gorilla trekking in Bwindi, know
which group you will be visiting and set off with your head guide.
Enter the forest in search of the Gorillas and upon finding them, you will be allowed to spend up
to a maximum of hour with them. After the trek, meet your driver guide and transfer back to
the lodge where you will relax.
4. Later go for an evening community walk to explore the Batwa pygmy. Learn about the traditional
lifestyles of the Batwa people and also learn about the eviction of the Batwa indigenous
communities in the early 1990s from the Bwindi Forest.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha Sector
Have breakfast and start your journey to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park
via Ishasha sector. The Ishasha Plains are something to be explored and experienced, it is a one
of kind experience in southwest Uganda, it is home of the Tree-Climbing Lions and an abundance
of wildlife, such as large herds of elephants, buffaloes, Topi and Uganda Kob Antelopes, there are
also birds including the Shoebill Stork near the swamp areas. Have lunch later drive to the
northern sector for dinner and overnight stay. You may go for an evening game drive in Kasenyi
track for another rewarding wildlife encounter or relax at the lodge in the swimming pool.

5. Day 6: Full-day game drive - Transfer to Kibale National Park.
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast before getting on with the game drive on different trails
in the park in search for various animals like lions, leopards water bucks, Uganda Kobs, elephants,
buffaloes, lions, and warthogs as well as various birds. After experiencing the park, retire and
drive to Kibale forest national park

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trek – Crater Lake tour
Wake up very in the morning for breakfast and drive to the park information offices of Kanyanchu
for the pre-chimpanzee trekking briefing by the UWA ranger about what to do and not during
chimpanzee trekking safari, what to expect during the forest walk and how to behave once you
have encountered the chimpanzee. After the briefing, you will be grouped into a small group of
people and be assigned a ranger and a chimpanzee family to track and later start your forest walk
in search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. During your tour, you will have a chance of
seeing other primates such as Red Colobus Monkey, Vervet Monkeys, Grey-cheeked Mangabey,
L'Hoest Monkey, and many forest bird species. After the chimpanzee and other primate species,
return to the visitor information center to get your certificate, have some refreshments and
return to your booked lodge for lunch, relax, and later for an evening crater lake tour. This tour
is one of the most rewarding adventure experiences you can ever have in Uganda with magnificent
views from the top of the volcanic hills

Day 8: Bigodi Swamp Trail – Community tour - Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, go for a tour to Bigodi Swamp to see unique bird species and several primates.
Later go for a cultural experience to explore the atmospheric village of Bigodi. You will visit a
traditional healer who will happily share his knowledge about spirits, herbs, plants and local
medicines. Visit several homes of elderly men and women who tell interesting stories about birth,
marriage, ceremonies, clans and their traditional life. Retire and start your journey to Entebbe
international airport to end your safari with lots of memories.
