2. Cupping
Cupping has many common names, such as Fire
cupping, Body vacuuming , and the Horn method.
Is is recommended mainly for Bronchial congestion,
arthritis, and pain.
4. Cups of bamboo or glass, are placed on the body,
over qi pathways with a flammable substance inside.
The substance (normally paper, alcohol, or herbs) is
lit on fire, and the cup is applied to the skin for 5-10
minutes.
5. Acupuncture
There are over 300 acupuncture points on the body.
Thin sterilized needles are inserted and twirled at
these points, until a numbing sensation is felt.
It is common practice to stick the needles in the ears,
on the face and neck, and in-between the fingers and
toes.
6. Many times, acupuncture is used as an anesthetic.
This way, major surgery can be performed with the
patient awake!

Herbal remedies, as well as their books, date back as
far as the Han Dynasty.
Some books have hundreds of remedies.
9. Mixtures/Prescriptions generally have 4-12
ingredients.
These mixtures/prescriptions are taken in the form of
teas, powders, syrups, or pills.
Herbs are slow-acting, and have to be taken over
long periods of time.
10. There are many uses and mixtures for herbal
remedies.
Some practitioners believe that herbs can cure
certain cancers and stop growth and spreading of
tumors.
