4. Who is Bill Gates?
Bill Gates came from a family of
entrepreneurship and high-spirited
liveliness. William Henry Gates III was
born in Seattle, Washington on October
28th, 1955. His father, William H. Gates
II, is a Seattle attorney. His late
mother, Mary Gates, was a
schoolteacher, University of
Washington regent, and chairwoman of
United Way International.

He had an early interest in
software and began programming
computers at the age of thirteen.
While still a Harvard
undergraduate, Bill Gates wrote a
version of the programming
language BASIC for the MITS
Altair microcomputer.

entrepreneur?
Gates is one of the best-known
entrepreneurs of the personal
computer revolution. Gates has
been criticized for his business
tactics, which have been
considered anti-competitive, an
opinion which has in some cases
been upheld by the courts..

7. His dreams and how he
failed it?
This philanthropist began programming at the
age of 13, which later became his dream. He
build his dream with Microsoft Corporation, a
company boasting a workforce of 93,000
employees. Bill Gate's company Microsoft
became famous for their computer operating
systems. Gates proceeded to make a fortune
from the licensing of MS-DOS.

8. Philanthropy is very important
to Gates. He and his wife, Melinda,
started a foundation in 2000 to help
reduce inequities in the United States
and around the world. The Bill &
Melinda Gates Foundation supports
philanthropic initiatives in the areas of
global health and learning, with the
hope that in the 21st century, advances
in these critical areas will be available
for all people.
