✧Sumi is made from charcoal.
✧We use them to create Indian ink.
→BUT!! It takes too long.
☞So we use ready-to-use liquid ink in these days.

✧In the picture there are two brushes.
✧There are many kinds of fude.
✧We use them properly.
Bunnchin
✧It is Japanese paperweight.
✧We need to put it on paper in order to write beautiful
characters.

4. History of calligraphy

➢Calligraphy was delivered from China about 1400
years ago.
➢In Japanese calligraphy is called Shodo.
➢Japanese envy to the Tang Dynasty is
discontinued.
➢Japanese characteristic culture was respected and Kana was
born. Kana is a Japanese system of syllabic writing. It
express only sounds. For example, にほん - NIHON -
Japan
➢About 1000 years ago a group of 3 calligraphers called
Sanseki, created a Japanese
style of calligraphy. As a result, the Japanese calligraphy
