Loving Father,
I stand before You
in the midst of confusion
and complexities of life.
My future sometimes
seems distant
and unknown.
Give me, O Lord,
the vision to see the path
You set before me.
Grant me the courage
to follow Your way,
that through the gifts
and talents You have
given me,
I may bring Your life
and Your love to others.
I ask this through Jesus,
Your Son. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit,
fill the hearts of Your faithful,
and enkindle in them
the fire of Your love.

I know that no problem is too big
or too small for you to handle,
and I need to turn this stress over
to you to help me with.

Lord, I just need to be able to focus.
I need your help to look
at this information so I can remember
and apply it well on my exam.

I need you to help me feel more confident
going into the test
and relax a bit so I can concentrate.
Lord, please help the people around me
to understand that I need
to focus and study.

Also, Lord, help me
when I walk into the exam.
Give me the peace,
when it is all said and done,
to know that I walked in and did my best.
I pray, Lord,
for your guiding hand
as I take the exam,
and I ask for your welcome calm
when I walk out of the classroom after.

Lord, thank you for all the blessings

when I feel a bit overwhelmed.

Prayer For Studying
Lord, I cannot believe how much time I waste.
Please help me be more intense
about my studies. I really am
interested in the things that the professor
says in class.

But when I finally sit down to study,
I welcome distractions
from studying so easily.
You have given me a good
mind, and you want me to explore your
creation. Give me enthusiasm, Lord,
for the subjects I am studying.

Keep my eyes open and my mind on topic.
Help me learn the
material so that I can explain it clearly
and convincingly to others,
especially my friends.

Jesus, you must have spent a lot of time
reflecting on life to think of the parables
that are recorded in the Gospels.

Make me a good, critical thinker
and help me to express myself
clearly. Help me to use my mind for your
greater Glory. Amen.

We give You thanks,
Merciful God,
for the instruction
and direction
which we have received.

Loving Father,
Source of all wisdom,
help me to use my time
and my intelligence wisely
as I prepare for my exams.

Help me to dispose myself
to listen to Your Holy Spirit,

Dear Jesus, today i will have my examinations.
You know how important they are to me.
So I am humbly asking Your gracious help
and divine assistance.

I Pray to you, my dear Jesus,
please never let me panic nor get nervous,
just let me be at ease and give my very best.
please never let me guess nor rely on pure luck,
but enlighten my mind and let me think clearly.

Please never let me resort to chances nor to
dishonesty, but let me work to the fullest
of my ability. I pray for Your guidance
that as I think, I may be able
to correctly answer the questions,
I may solve those difficult problems.

I ask, O Lord, Your intercession, that as I write,
I may not be careless nor overconfident,
I may not be distracted but be more
concentrated, I may not be in a hurry
nor take the exams too lightly.

A PRAYER FOR MY INTELLECT
Lord, You are the Source of all Life,
all Truth, and all Beauty, I pray to You today,
with all my heart, for my intelligence, this light
in me, this plant which demands years
and years of care, this thing in me,
mysterious and moving,

this activity which sometimes bounds up,
sometimes slows down, which sometimes lifts
me up with enthusiasm and sometimes
exasperates me, I pray for this thing which runs
after ideas, symbols and numbers,
this thing which all of a sudden has
penetrated inside the thought of another
and melds with it like the fusion
of two lights a fusion which bring
about warmth and light.

I pray to You for my mind as You are the
Supreme Intelligence which penetrates,
illuminates, and embraces all our intelligences.
Lord, help make my intelligence
amenable to all truths, able to understand
the thoughts of others; give to me the wisdom
to know the meaning and purpose of my life
and learning, so that my knowledge,
understanding, and skills may help
in some little ways to make this world
a better place, for Your greater glory. Amen.

WHO YOU ARE

You are who you are for a reason,
You're part of an intricate plan.
You're a precious and perfect unique design,
Called God's special woman or man.

You look like you look for a reason,
Our God mad no mistake,
He knit you together within the womb,
You're JUST what he wanted to make.

The parents you had
were the ones he chose,
And no matter how you may feel,
They were custom-designed with
God's plan in mind,
And they bear the Masters seal.

No, that trauma you faced was not easy,
And God wept that it hurt you so,
But it was allowed to shape your heart,
So that in His likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason,
You've been formed by the Master's rod,
You are who you are, beloved,
Because there is a God!

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED
(SOMETIMES THE HARD WAY)

• I’ve learned- that you cannot make
someone love you. All you can do is be
someone who can be loved. The rest is up
to them.
• I’ve learned- that no matter how much I
care, some people just don’t care back.
• I’ve learned- that it takes years to build
up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
• I’ve learned- that it’s not what you have
in your life but who you have in your life
that counts.
• I’ve learned- that you can get by on
charm for about fifteen minutes. After
that, you’d better know something.
• I’ve learned- that you shouldn’t compare
yourself to the best others can do.
• I’ve learned- that you can do something
in an instant that will give you heartache
for life.
• I’ve learned- that it’s taking me a long
time to become the person I want to be.
• I’ve learned- that you should always leave
loved ones with loving words. It may be
the last time you see them.
• I’ve learned- that you can keep going long
after you can’t.

• I’ve learned- that we are responsible for
what we do, no matter how we feel.
• I’ve learned- that either you control your
attitude or it controls you.
• I’ve learned- that regardless of how hot
and steamy a relationship is at first, the
passion fades and there had better be
something else to take its place.
• I’ve learned- that heroes are the people
who do what has to be done when it
needs to be done, regardless of the
consequences.
• I’ve learned- that money is a lousy way of
keeping score.
• I’ve learned- that my best friend and I can
do anything or nothing and have the best
time.
• I’ve learned- that sometimes the people
you expect to kick you when you’re down
will be the ones to help you get back up.
• I’ve learned- that sometimes when I’m
angry I have the right to be angry, but
that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.
• I’ve learned- that true friendship
continues to grow, even over the longest
distance. Same goes for true love.
• I’ve learned- that just because someone
doesn’t love you the way you want them
to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with
all they have.

• I’ve learned- that maturity has more
to do with what types of experiences
you’ve had and what you’ve learned
from them and less to do with how
many birthdays you’ve celebrated.
• I’ve learned- that you should never
tell a child their dreams are unlikely
or outlandish. Few things are more
humiliating, and what a tragedy it
would be if they believed it.
• I’ve learned- that your family won’t
always be there for you. It may seem
funny, but people you aren’t related
to can take care of you and love you
and teach you to trust people again.
Families aren’t biological.
• I’ve learned- that no matter how
good a friend is, they’re going to hurt
you every once in a while and you
must forgive them for that.
• I’ve learned- that it isn’t always
enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you are to learn to forgive
yourself.
• I’ve learned- that no matter how bad
your heart is broken the world
doesn’t stop for your grief.
• I’ve learned- that our background
and circumstances may have
influenced who we are, but we are
responsible for who we become.

• I’ve learned- that just because two people
argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each
other And just because they don’t argue, it
doesn’t mean they do.
• I’ve learned- that we don’t have to change
friends if we understand that friends change.
• I’ve learned- that you shouldn’t be so eager
to find out a secret. It could change your life
forever.
• I’ve learned- that two people can look at the
exact same thing and see something totally
different.
• I’ve learned- that no matter how you try to
protect your children, they will eventually
get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
• I’ve learned- that your life can be changed in
a matter of hours by people who don’t even
know you.
• I’ve learned- that even when you think you
have no more to give, when a friend cries
out to you, you will find the strength to help.
• I’ve learned- that credentials on the wall do
not make you a decent human being.
• I’ve learned- that the people you care about
most in life are taken from you too soon.
• I’ve learned- that it’s hard to determine
where to draw the line between being nice
and not hurting people’s feelings and
standing up for what you believe.

MY GREATEST FRIEND

It used to amaze me what people really think
about you, With all the time invested in them
and other things you do.
The listening, the caring,
the encouragement you give them everyday;
Those things are not always appreciated in any
kind of way.

The overtures of friendship offered,
the ear you give to their woes;
They still can turn out to be your most awful foes.

Instead of returning your non judgmental stance,
You discover that they have been judging you
unfairly quite by chance.

You discover there has been murmuring about
some mistake they think you have made;
When all through out their life history, their
mistakes do not fade.

Yet you fail to stoop to their level because you
know it is not right, It is still hard to accept that
ones you thought were your friends were only
ships passing you by night.

So through my experience,
I’ve learned to take heed,
That the greatest friend I have is Jesus, indeed.

TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR A
LONG AND PEACEFUL LIFE
(1) Thou shalt not worry,
for worry is the most unproductive
of all human activities.
(2) Thou shalt not be fearful,
for most of the things we fear n
ever come to pass.
(3) Thou shalt face each problem as it comes.
You can handle only one at a time.
(4) Thou shalt not cross bridges before you get
to them, for no one yet has succeeded in
accomplishing this.
(5) Thou shalt not take problems to bed with you,
for they make very poor bedfellows.
(6) Thou shalt not borrow other people's problems.
They can take better care of them than you can.
(7) Thou shalt be a good listener,
for only when you listen do you hear ideas
different from your own.
It's very hard to learn something new
when you're talking.
(8) Thou shalt not try to re-live yesterday
for good or ill - it is gone.
Concentrate on what is happening
in your life today.
(9) Thou shalt not become bogged down
by frustration, for 50 percent of it is rooted
in self-pity and will only interfere
with positive actions.
(10) Thou shalt count thy blessings,
never overlooking the small one –
for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.

A simple prayer of 'Thanks Be To God' when we wake up starts
the day with His name on our lips.
Dedicating the day ahead to the Lord will result
in a calm and peace in all we do and a fruitful day's work,
yes even when things seem to go wrong.
Rather than curse the mishap, say 'Thanks Be To God‘
or 'Praise You Lord'. Here are a few nice little
morning prayers to set the tone for the day:

MORNING OFFERING PRAYER

Almighty God,
I thank you for your past blessings.

Today I offer myself - whatever I do,
say, or think - to your loving care.
Continue to bless me, Lord.

I make this morning offering in union
with the divine intentions
of Jesus Christ
who offers himself daily in the holy
sacrifice of the Mass,

and in union with Mary, his Virgin Mother

Strength And
Wisdom
Thank you, Lord, for being there for me and allowing me to cry
out to you in my times of need.
It is amazing to me that the Lord of the Universe would take
time to listen to me and
to care about what I say.
God, there are things happening around me right now that I do
not understand. Some of these things make me feel weak,
helpless and afraid.

To complete one Novena,
a person must say the Rosary for 9 days.
Three Novenas of 9 days
must be said to obtain the favor.

and 27 days of Rosary prayers
in Thanksgiving.
This makes a total of 54 days.

1ST DAY

Beloved St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you have had the signs of
the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ on your body. You
have carried this stigmata for everyone, enduring both
the physical and mental sufferings that racked your soul
and body in a continual sacrifice. We beg you to pray for
us, so that we will be able to accept both the little and
the larger crosses we too must bear during our life on
earth and to offer these sufferings to God, assuring us a
place with him in Eternal Life.

sufferings that Jesus will send to you. Jesus cannot
tolerate seeing you afflicted and he will come to you and

Prayer To The Sacred Heart

2nd DAY

Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, together with Our Lord Jesus
Christ, you’ve been able to withstand the temptations of
the Devil. You suffered the beatings and the oppression of
the demon of hell, who wanted to have you abandon
your journey of holiness. We beg you to pray for us so
that, with your help and the help of all of the Heavenly
Kingdom, we will be able to find the strength to set sin
aside and to persevere in our faith until the day of our
death.

“Have courage and do not fear the assaults of the
Devil. Remember this forever; it is a healthy sign if
the devil shouts and roars around your conscience,
since this shows that he is not inside your will”.

3rd DAY
Virtuous St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you love Our Holy
Mother very much and have received daily graces

reparation, so that, as at Cana of Galilee, her Son
says ‘yes’ to His Mother and our name may be
written in the Book of Eternal Life.

4th DAY
Chaste St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you loved your
Guardian Angel, who served you well as your guide
and as a defender and messenger. The Angels
brought the prayers of your spiritual children to you.

We beg you to pray for us, so that we may learn to
call on our Guardian Angel who is always ready to
guide us to what is good and to avoid falling into
sinful actions.

“Invoke your Guardian Angel, who will enlighten you
and guide you. God has given him to you for your
protection, therefore, you should use him accordingly”.

5th DAY

Prudent St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you have had a great
devotion for the Souls in Purgatory for whom you have
offered yourself as a victim to remit their punishments.
Please pray for us and ask God to send us the same
interest, compassion and love that you have for these
souls. In this way, we will also contribute to reducing
their suffering and, with our sacrifices and prayers, win
for them their necessary Indulgences.

“My God, I beg you; let me bear the punishments that
have been prepared for sinners and the souls in
Purgatory. Multiply these punishments for me, so that
you may forgive and save the sinners and free their
souls from purgatory”. Padre Pio

6th DAY

Obedient St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you have loved the sick
more than yourself, because you were able to see Jesus
in them. You have performed many miracles by healing
patients in the name of Jesus and thereby giving them
peace of mind. We beg you to pray for us, so that sick
patients, through the intercession of Mary, can be
healed and their bodies restored so that they may
benefit from the Holy Spirit and, therefore, thank and
praise God forever.

“If I knew that a person was afflicted in his mind,
body or soul, I would beg God to set him free of his
affliction. I would gladly accept the transfer of his
affliction to myself, so that he may be saved, and I
would ask that he benefit from the fruits of these
sufferings... if the Lord would allow me to do it”.

7th DAY

Blessed St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you have worked in
“God’s Plan for Salvation”, by offering your
sufferings to free sinners from the chains of the
Devil. We beg you to pray for us, so that unbelievers
will be converted to the faith, that all sinners will
repent in their hearts and that those with lukewarm
hearts will find renewed enthusiasm for a Christian
life. Finally, pray for all those who are faithful, so
that they will persevere on their way to salvation.

8th DAY

Pure St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you experienced great
love for your spiritual children and have helped
them by purchasing them for Christ with the giving
of your blood. Please grant us, who have not met
you personally, the opportunity to be considered
your spiritual children.

In this way, with your protection, guidance and
strength, you will obtain for us a special blessing from
God, so that we may meet Him on the day of our death
at the gates of Heaven.

“It would be most fulfilling, if God would grant me just
one wish (if it were possible); that He would say, “Enter
Heaven!” This is my one true wish; “That God would
take me to Heaven at the same time that the last of my
children and the last of the people who submitted to
my priestly care have entered”. Padre Pio

9th DAY

Humble St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you who loved the Roman
Catholic Church, pray for us. May the Master send
workers to the harvest and give them the strength and
knowledge needed to be children of God.

Pray that Our Holy Lady will unite Christian people

of the Lord, the lighthouse of our salvation in the storm
of life... just as a lighthouse is a beacon for safe return
when there is a storm at sea.
