2. After completing my peer review evaluation I
realized that I failed. But I am not ashamed on
saying it. The first mistake I made, was that I did
not described the person I interviewed. So to make
things clear, here is his description. He is my new
boss who is taking the position for the first time as
a headmaster of an independent school. He has 16
years experience in the education field as a teacher
and an administrator. Before that he was in the
retail business. The school that we will be working
for in the 2013 – 2014 school year, opened its
doors five years ago and has been growing year by
year.

4. Idea Selection
• Practical idea: Focused.
In order for the headmaster to build a good reputation for the school, he
needs to be focused. He needs to know exactly what he wants and needs to be
able to give the same information to the school community (parents, students,
faculty, staff) in order to convince them and gain their support.
• Disruptive idea: Facilities improvement.
Since the goal is to build a reputation for the school. I am assuming that it is
going to grow in number of students, faculty and staff. So the physical building
has to grow as well in order to accommodate everybody. It might not be the
most important aspect of the situation but also needs to be considered because it
is going to be impacted.
• Favorite idea: Willing to fail.
Every new idea has pros and cons and off course it is going to have things that
work and things that are not going to. I do understand it is frustrating ,but need
to be able to take this situations and consider them teachable moments and learn
from them. Then look for more things to implement and keep trying until you are
satisfied producing good results.
