According to him, it provides guidance to all employees by laying
out the official reporting relationships that govern the workflow of
the company. Moreover, a formal outline of the company’s structure
makes it easier to add new positions in the company. It also
provides a flexible and ready means for growth.
Organizational structure improves operational efficiency by
providing clarity to employees at all levels of a company. By paying
mind to the organizational structure, departments can work more
like well-oiled machines, focusing time and energy on productive
tasks.
Planning the organizational structure ensures there are enough
human resources with the right skills to accomplish the company’s
goals, and ensures that responsibilities are clearly defined. Thus, it
should be designed to with clear lines of communication in mind. As
the company grows, the organizational structure must evolve with
it.
Jeff Whippo further explains that poorly structured organizations
find that critical deadlines are not met because there were not
sufficient human resources in each department to accomplish all
parts of a given task. Thus, if the structure is properly defined, it
becomes very easy for the company employees to communicate.
They would have clear lines of communication in mind. According to
him, structure chosen affects the success of the organization in
carrying out its strategy and objectives.

This assessment helps to understand the processes that go into the performance of certain work roles and the key employee capabilities that are needed to fulfil those role requirements (Bratton & Gold, 2017; Hasibuan, Purba, & Siahaan, 2016). The following is an evaluation of the results of a needs assessment to determine the key work processes required, the employees who will be fulfilling these roles, and the key needs for those employees to successfully deliver on their roles as required. Results of the Assessment of the Work Processes and Key Employees The assessment of the employees in the project showed that all workers are integral to the success of the organization. All the activities they engage in on a day-to-day basis somehow directly or indirectly contribute to the achievement of the organizational goals. The actions of the employees were found to be a determinant of the present and future growth of the business. However, the nature of the contribution of the employees was found to be dependent on the level at which they are working. This analysis found that the organization has three main levels of employees; the executives, the middle level managers, and the lower level managers. The role of the executives was mainly making the long-term goals of the organization. The executives at this company do not partake in the day-to-day running of the activities of the organization. The middle-level managers were responsible for the short-term decision making roles. They make decisions that affect the roles of the lower-level managers. Lastly, the lowest level managers were responsible for performing the actual processes that are needed for the achievement of the organizational roles. For example, they directly sell products to the customers daily so that the company can get its sales revenue. These three levels of employees have to work together for the overall organizational objective to be achieved. How the Organization will Change while Meeting its Strategic Objectives in the Future Given the current state of the organization, the management will need to make a few changes to achieve its objectives in the future. One of the changes that is needed is the development of job descriptions. This analysis revealed that most of the employees do not have an official understanding of what is expected of them by the management. They have an idea of what they do on a daily basis. However, due to the lack of an official job description, some of the employees’ roles overlap. For this purpose job rotation is a technique adopted by many organizations to train their employees. The importance of job rotation, as a mean of enhancing skills, knowledge and abilities of an individual to improve the overall organizational mechanics has become evident to any organization. Job rotation has become the need of the hour for most of the organization and is a fast emerging domain of research in the field of human resource. This study reveals the perception & views of banking sector employees in relation to job rotation techniques. Positional variables of the employees were analyzed with respect to the employees’ perception regarding Job Rotation technique. Data were collected using a self administered questionnaire from 125 Bank employees working in the various banks situated in Faridabad. Collected data was further analyzed using “Mean Score” as a statistical tool. The finding of the research revealed that most of the employees perceive job rotation as a technique which stimulates their individual growth, reduces boredom and also act as a tool for fast learning. The study suggest that organizations should consider the perception and needs of individual employees for successful implementation of job rotation in an organization for overall benefit of the individuals and organizations. The researchers also believes that the current research would help organizations in redesigning the job rotation tool in order to enhance the quality of the employees’ workforce and overall quality of the organization’s output which is in fact the need of the hour.
