My research primarily involves Web-based data and metadata management, including knowledge representation, ontology modeling, data integration and reasoning. Dissertation research comprises the synergistic use of semantic web, artificial intelligence, and cognitive science to develop the theoretical foundation and practical tools needed to enable semantics-based sensor data management and machine perception. Currently, this capability is being applied in applications of health-care; more specifically, to monitor and manage heart disease.
