Hardware Requirements for Click to Meet
1. To participate in a Click to Meet video conference you will need to have the following hardware attached to your PC:- Webcam Speakers Microphones Headsets The following slides contain information on suggested products investigated by South Camden City Learning Centre All hardware will need to be attached to the PC before the Click to Meet software is installed
2. Web Cams Your webcam will need to be attached and working before you install the Click to Meet software Budget Option The MSI Starcam 370i is a great priced entry level web cam. At around £14 it offers a good quality image High End Option The Logitech Fusion is an excellent web cam offering a class leading specification. At around £45 it offers a very good quality image and a wide field of view
3. Speakers Speakers are a great way of sharing the Click to Meet experience with a class group. In most cases your PC will have a set of speakers attached. Click to Meet will automatically use these as a default. If you are using the PC attached to your IWB then Click to Meet will run through those. If your PC does not have a set of speakers already attached you can purchase a set from around £5.
4. Microphones A separate microphone is essential for using Click to Meet with a class group. In most cases your PC will have a microphone socket either at the front or rear of the base station (normally coloured pink). Click to Meet will automatically use this socket to pick up audio. The Logitech Desktop Microphone is perfect for use with Click to Meet and is priced at around £10
5. Headsets Headsets are a great way of using Click to Meet on a one to one basis. Many schools will already have headsets for use with multimedia software. If your school does not have a headset already you can purchase a set from around £5. The Dynamode DH 005 is an entry level headset and is priced at around £5 The Sennheiser PC 130 offers a higher quality and is priced at around £5
