The document describes a school project called "Reinvent your city" aimed at raising environmental awareness among students. As part of the project, students are studying different environmental factors in their city such as rivers, noise pollution, and parks. They are collecting data through expert presentations, measurements, interviews and online research. Reinvent Your City

2. 1.- Introduction
“Reinvent your city” is a project we are carrying out during this school year, it
is one of the activities we are doing in our high school inside “Be the change”
Erasmus + programme.
The target of the project is to raise the level of environmental conciuosness in
our students. The methodology we are using is Project Based Learning (PBL). Pupils
are working in cooperative groups in order to know what is the current state of
some environmental factors of our city such as, rivers, acustic pollution, gas
pollution and parks (green areas). After that we are going to design an improvement
plan about these factors and try to spread it among different sectors of the
population.
Some of the tools we are using in order to get our target are:
- Conferences by experts about some environmetal topics.
- Technical measurements of some enviromental factors such as water quality
of our rivers or acustic pollution.
- Interviews to citizens in oder to know what are the main enviromental
troubles in our city.
- Use of the information in internet about these topics.
The ways we are going to spread the results of our investigations and the
environmental improvement plan are:
- To make a presentation adress to the students of the University of Granada.
- To write an article in the local newspaper.
- To publish our results in several websites.
- To print some posters with our conclussions and exhibit them in the
University and in our high school.
2.- Project development
Currently we still carrying out the project but we have already done several
activities:
2.1.- Working by groups
Pupils are developing the different tasks working in cooperative groups. In
every group there are the following roles: coordinator, secretary, spokesperson and
3. controller. They are using, laptops, office IT and internet. All the activities are
contained in a digital portfolio.
2.2.- Learning with experts
We have received the visit of some experts in environmental factors
such as, atmospheric pollution. Their contribution to the project have being to
supply to our pupils useful tools and information about those factors.
