3. PIOTR SKARGA’S SECONDARY SCHOOL IN
GROJEC
PATRON – Piotr Skarga – (1536-1612) from Grojec was a
Jesuit and a protector of Polish king Zygmunt III Waza. He
became well known as a writer who wrote about the
politics, and in his books he criticized unjustice of law,
weakness of regal power and lack of patriotism. The
most famous Skarga’s book is „Kazania sejmowe”(”The
Seym Sermons”). In Grojec there is a monument that
commemorates that great man.

5. Our school is one of the oldest in
the District of Grojec and in
Mazowieckie Province. It was
founded in 1912. The present
building was built before II World
War, in 1928. The gymnasium
was built in 1960’s. The school is
regularly modernised and
extended.
