  out there. Do you
 know what strategy

 the techniques and
the tactics you are

Let us start by discussing the two types of marketing:
        the traditional and modern marketing

                     Traditional Marketing
                            includes:
                    •Print ( Magazine,
                    newspapers, ads, flyers)
                    •Television and radio
                    •Word of Mouth



  Other examples include posters, billboards and mailers. Also the
  popular ones are the more direct methods like press releases,
  conferences, and seminars. These marketing tools can be cheap or
  expensive but if used properly they can still be highly effective.
Modern Marketing includes:
           •Online Marketing
                (SEO, Social Media, E-mail Marketing)
           •Telemarketing



             What is on-line marketing?
Because of Internet, there’s now the online marketing. It
combines creative and technical aspects of the internet such as
advertising, design, sales, and development. It also uses search
engine marketing (such as Yahoo and Google), banner ads on
websites, search engine optimization (SEO), and email
marketing strategies.
What are on-line marketing strategies?


E-mail Marketing

     is a form of direct marketing that uses electronic mail as
     a means of communicating commercial or fund-raising
     messages to your audience. You can send
     announcements or promotions to your potential or
     current customer in less time.
Banner marketing


Banners are considered as supplemental advertising, except when the banner
is itself a form of contextual or performance marketing. More Internet
advertisers are using them in order to drive visitors and potential sales to their
websites. They are very effective in search engine marketing because of their
good click through rate feature.
Social Networking and Social Bookmarking


This type of marketing becomes very popular because of the famous
social networks MySpace, Twitter and Facebook. They are such powerful
promotional tools that not only businesses are using them – also
politicians, musicians and celebrities
Telemarketing


This strategy uses the telephone to get in touch with prospects. Professional
telemarketers call on-behalf of their clients and generate leads, set
appointments, invite for an event, market survey or simply client profiling.
Also included is customer service, order taking, booking and reservation and
overflow calls. With the recent development in technology, telemarketing is
making its mark.
Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to
victory and tactics without strategy is the noise
before defeat. It is therefore very important for all
businesses to understand that marketing strategies
can help them achieve their marketing objectives.
And if they are conducted properly, they can
become very profitable in the longer term and can
ensure success in high-growth and competitive
industry.
