Rizal was multilingual and could speak over 11 languages. He studied medicine and established a clinic in Dapitan where he practiced as a doctor. As a teacher in Dapitan, he established a free school and taught subjects like languages, geography, and mathematics. Rizal was also a scientist and inventor, discovering new species of plants and animals and inventing devices like a cigarette lighter. He applied his engineering knowledge in Dapitan by implementing a water system and lighting. Additionally, Rizal worked as a farmer in Dapitan, introducing modern agriculture and growing various crops.

4. -He studied medicine so that he could cure the eye problem of his mother.- Rizal get his licentiate in medicine when he studied at the Unibersidad central de madrid.-He was able to establish a clinic and hospital in Dapitan.

7. His exile in Dapitan gave him the opportunity to put into practice his educational ideas. In 1893, he established a school which existed until the end of his exile in July 1896. It began with three pupils and in the course of time the enrollment increased to 16 and later 21.

8. These pupils did not pay any tuition. Instead of charging them, he made them work in his garden, fields and construction projects in the community. Rizal taught this boys how to: - Read - Write - Languages (Spanish and English) - Geography - History

11. -Rizal researched on new species such as insects, lizards, birds,snakes,frogs,shells and sent them to the museum in Europe.-He had a collection of concology consisted of 346 shells with 203 species.-He maintained a garden in Dapitan where he planted plants and experimented plants.
