Crime Research Proposal
RESEARCH PROPOSAL EXAMPLE 4. THIS PERSON RECEIVED A "9.8" INTRODUCTION
Micheal Gottfredson and Travis Hirschi's general theory of crime purports to be able to predict all
crime at all time and that a person's level of self–control is determined and unchangeable by age
eight. This researcher saw this theory as an awfully broad statement and an extremely pessimistic
view of human nature. By this logic, a person with a low score on the selfcontrol construct would be
almost guaranteed to commit crime given the appropriate opportunity and little can be done to
change that behavior. This researcher proposes that self–control can be learned and bolstered later in
life through extensive behavior modification programs that work to curb the...show more content...
Self–control theory enthusiasts claim that the characteristics of those with self–restraint are not
well–matched with the elements that characterize criminal and deviants acts (Gibbs et al 1998),
consequently this researcher hypothesizes that increasing self–control and restraint through behavior
modification will make criminal sexual opportunity less appealing and therefore decrease recidivism.
Dr. Lane, Research Proposal Ex 4, Spring 2001, page 2
LITERATURE REVIEW The general theory of crime is relatively new and controversial theory in
the realm of criminology. Micheal Gottfredson and Travis Hirschi published A General Theory of
Crime in 1990 and it went on to become the second most cited book in the entire 1990s (Pratt and
Cullen, 2000). Their theory is based on the argument, not unlike Hirschi's social bonding theory that
criminal activity is gratifying and the key to understanding participation in crime is discovering what
prevents people from breaking the law. They contend that committing crime and other analogous
behaviors (drinking, gambling, drug use, reckless driving, and unsafe sexual practices) start
manifesting in conduct problems early in life. The term "low self–control" is used to describe the
enduring "criminality" or "criminal propensity" that increases the likelihood that individuals will be
unable to resist the easy, immediate

The Scientific Method Essay
The Scientific Method is the standardized procedure that scientists are supposed to follow when
conducting experiments, in order to try to construct a reliable, consistent, and non–arbitrary
representation of our surroundings. To follow the Scientific Method is to stick very tightly to a order
of experimentation. First, the scientist must observe the phenomenon of interest. Next, the scientist
must propose a hypothesis, or idea in which the experiments will be based around. Then, through
repeated experimentation, the hypothesis can either be proven false or become a theory. If the
hypothesis is proven to be false, the scientist must reformulate his or her ideas and come up with
another hypothesis, and the experimentation begins again. This...show more content...
Furthermore, flies were observed laying eggs where the maggots formed. Thus, he concluded that
maggots are the result of flies, not spontaneous generation. He then called the principles behind his
experiment "Metodo Scientifico" or The Scientific Method.
The first cases of what would be considered properly using the Scientific Method can be found
earlier, though, back in the studies of Galileo, early in the 17th century. He first observed that
heavy objects gain speed as they fall. He then proposed, or hypothesized, that the rate of falling of
massive objects was proportional to the distance that the object has fallen. Following the Scientific
Method, he tested his hypothesis and found it to be false, since objects falling unequal distances do
not fall in the same amount of time, as his hypothesis led to. Since his hypothesis failed, he made a
new one, which proposed that the rate at which an object falls is directly proportional to the time the
object has spent falling. This was tested by rolling balls down an inclined plane and calculating the
speed and time values from those observations. Later, these experiments led to the discovery of the
gravitational constant g, and a better understanding of the Scientific Method.
The Method has been used many times since Galileo conducted his experiments, and it has been
considered a valid way of conducting experiments since

School Improvement Essay
School improvement is transformation. It is one of the most important actions of a school. It is a
process that schools must use with fidelity to ensure that at all students are given the opportunity to
perform and achieve at exemplary levels. School improvement is vital to schools and it is a process
that cannot be done in isolation. It requires team work, collaboration, and constant analysis of data
and setting of goals. School improvement goals focus on how to meet the needs of students.
Addressing the educational needs, funding, and achievement gaps between subgroups is
collaborative effort involves everyone that has a vested interest in the schools. These basic measures
set the foundation for improvement. And so, if it is the...show more content...
This is the most difficult step for schools, however, when working together, with urgency and a
mindset to improve, total transformation will occur. As we review and synthesize data of a district
for planning school improvement, the following information is needed to access and determine the
needs of a school. First, a thorough analysis of performance data must be reviewed to see how school
districts measure up with state and federal accountability. During this process, it is very important
that schools focus the performance indicators that will guarantee growth and success. School teams
must refer to the districts mission and vision to guide the planning process. The performance
indicators will provide data that will be beneficial in creating improvement strategies. So, after
careful evaluation of the data, the next step would be to plan effective methods and strategies that
will improve student achievement. Moreover, this plan should include needs, demographics and
opportunities for students to be successful. Additionally, the baseline data is important information
to include in the improvement plan.
Data is always the best resource for trying to improve student achievement. The data will help guide
continuous improvement of a plan. There are four types of data that will be beneficial to any team
during the planning phase of the school improvement process.
Demographics data, achievement data, perception

Business Proposal
Business proposal
A business proposal is perhaps one of the most critical documents you need to learn how to write. It
is what spells the difference between success and failure, whether you're a freelancer or you have a
company of your own.
In today's cut–throat business world, entrepreneurs find themselves spending hours upon hours
submitting business proposals to potential clients, and not get any results. On the other hand, there
are those that are like snipers, able to get the contract after just submitting one business proposal.
So how do they do it? Well, this article will teach you show you how to do just that.
The Basics of a Business Proposal
Before you even go and start writing that business proposal, you must first understand...show more

Pricing Information
For many clients, the pricing information is what will make them decide whether they would offer
you the contract or not.
How to write this part greatly depends on the solution or solutions you included in the previous
segment. If the solution proposed will only entail a short period of time, a Fee Summary will
suffice. For longer projects, segment these payments to specific milestones in a Fee Schedule list.
Things to Remember When Writing a Business Proposal
Now that you know the essentials of a winning business proposal, it's time to go ahead and start
writing, right? Well, not exactly.
The next part is to be able to find out what to put under the 3 Ps so that you can develop a business
proposal that gets their attention and awards you that contract.
Do Your Research
Not all clients and buyers will give you the explicit details of their wants and needs, especially if
you're submitting an unsolicited business proposal. Extend your research9 to include the
competitors of your potential client, and their customers as well. This will ensure that your business
proposal will be as comprehensive and as detailed as possible.
Put Yourself in their Shoes
Another thing to remember when writing a business proposal is to always put yourself in the shoes
of your potential clients. Doing this will help you provide information on things that they would

PROPOSAL FOR FINAL PROJECT
Background
This is my answer to the Week 5 which is the starting week for the Module Three Final Project. I
will be using diverse sources of knowledge and information including real life experience, text
books, class discussions, journals and publications both hard copy; and where available and on the
internet. I will be doing an original review and analysis in the final project.
Proposal
This week however, I will be submitting a proposal for the final project. This proposal will include
a given topic, the type or nature of the problem, the source of the information to be used for the
analyses and the 'concepts and techniques to be applied". This assignment is partially restricted since

engines or using the recommendations of the Instructor through the weekly lecture notes.
3.Finally and very hopefully, I will be able to have access to some journals and periodicals through
the Online Library of the University of Liverpool.
Outcome
After the studies and analyses of my research work; after the compilation and collation; the final
outcome of my work will be presented in a report that is typed in double–spaced pages, probably
containing about 2,000 words or there about. I will be using a simple a simple unzipped Microsoft
word process file.
Projected Schedule
My proposed schedule for this final project is as follows:
Week 5 is for submission of this proposal to the Instructor.
Week 6 is getting a feedback from the Instructor and submission of Annotated Outline for the Final
Project to the Instructor.
Week 7 is when I hope to write the Final Project, all depending on the guidance of the Instructor.

The Healthy People 2020 has two over riding goals: Prevent, reduce, and ultimately eliminate

detection, treatment, and education efforts.
Controlling spread of infection is the key for the individual or the health care provider and washing
hands is the first step. Hand washing is the most single most important strategy for preventing
infection transmission. HAIs are the most common complication of hospital care. However, recent
studies suggest that implementing existing prevention practices can lead to up to a 70 percent
reduction in certain HAIs. The financial benefit of using these prevention practices is estimated to
be $25.0 billion to $31.5 billion in medical cost savings (Healthypeople.gov 2020).

Project Proposal Essay
Project Proposal INTRODUCTION
Topic and Purpose
This proposal identifies the need for a document, which will propose and develop reasons why a
for–profit transportation service for Kent should be perused. This service should be considered
because of the recent parking and commuting problems both on and off campus.
There have been many reasons why on–campus parking has become difficult in recent years.
Increased student enrollment at Kent State University has posed many problems. The parking lots
cannot facilitate the growing need for vehicle parking. Campus officials have undertaken
construction projects to curb the parking problem, but these renovations have closed lots in the near
term. Also, the increased enrollment of...show more content...
The demand for student bus transportation has far exceeded the supply. Also, vandalism and
automotive theft has nearly doubled since 1997. DUI convictions have quadrupled in the city of
Kent since last year. The need for public transportation is quite clear.
Because of this evident crisis in transportation, a solution must be in order.
Scope
This proposal will outline and validate the impending document generally. First the general nature of
the document will be discussed; then the ensuing proposal will be outlined.
DISCUSSION OF PROPOSAL
Proposal
The proposed document must be constructed to demonstrate the need for a new for–profit
transportation service. It will present a business plan, and then go into detail about characteristics
specific to this service.
Methodology
Information about competitive transportation services will be gathered. Questionnaires will be
distributed to students and faculty of Kent State University in order to gather customer insight. Also,
a financial consulting firm will be hired to provide professional assistance. Document Outline
The proposed document will include the following specific sections. This outline is tentative and
may be adjusted in accord with new developments.
Description of Business Entity and General Operations Type of BusinessType of Legal Entity Type

Compare And Contrast Two And Proposal
Proposal one and proposal two have great similarities and differences, however while both
proposals aim for an alike objective, one proposal is more detailed in how to accomplish the set
goal, is more logistically feasible, appeals to more members of the community, and will most
likely raise more money. Proposal one and proposal two both suggest a specific type of
fundraiser, include certain specifics on how to conduct the fundraiser, and include ideas about
the people the fundraiser would appeal to. Proposal one suggests that the prime way to get people
invested in the library is by presenting them with the joy of reading. For this reason, proposal one
believes the library should hold a book sale, and in this book sale, people could donate books they no
longer have a want for, and the librarians could find books the library no longer needs. Furthermore,
the books should be inexpensive so more people would be willing to buy them. For example, fifty
cents for paperback books and two dollars for hardcover books. According to the first proposal, this
book sale would appeal to people of all ages from children to the elderly, and if visitors do not find a
book of their liking there...show more content...
Proposal two is the better option because it is more logistically feasible, it appeals to more
members of the community, and will most likely raise more money than proposal one. Proposal
two is more logistically feasible because it contains more detail regarding the fundraiser, proposal
two appeals to more members of the community because not everyone in the community are
interested in reading, however, many individuals of the community have parents or adults who
have cars and would like them clean, proposal two will most likely raise more money because it
will charge about ten dollars per car washed and if the fundraiser washes more than forty cars it will
have made four hundred dollars which will go to the

A Sample Group Counseling Project Proposal
A group Counseling Project Proposal – sample
INTRODUCTION
What is Group Counseling?
Purpose of the group counseling varies from group to group. It can be therapeutic, educational, or
helping people to make fundamental changes in their way of thinking, feeling and behaving (Corey,
2004, p. 7). Group counseling/therapy has the advantage of being more effective than individual
therapy because, it more closely stimulates social interactions and interpersonal communication
patterns than does individual counseling (Kottler, 2004, p. 260). The techniques and strategies use in
group counseling are to help resolve members' interpersonal conflict, promote greater self–awareness
and insight, and help them work to eliminate their self–defeating...show more content...
The Centre has conducted more than fifty group–counseling programs in twenty schools in this
community, both public and private, during the last four years. It also has conducted a variety of
group counseling programs for the families, youth, college students, teacher training institutes, army,
senior citizens and tourist resorts. Individual counseling service is also proceeding on a daily basis.
RATIONALE
The following are a brief description of the type of group, the target population, basic purposes of the
group, rationale for this group, requirements to join the group, and the theoretical approaches.
Type of Group: This proposal is aimed to conduct a short– term, "personal–growth type group".
Population: The counseling group will be conducted for the adolescent male students of the Public
Secondary Boy's School. This is achieved through realistic goal setting by the group members with
the guidance of the group leader. Purpose: The purpose of this group is to facilitate personal growth
by enhancing self–esteem and developing a positive self–image, so that the members will gain
self–awareness of their own feelings, personal values and needs. They also will increase
self–understanding and self–acceptance for better functioning and leading a better life in the future.
Rational for the Group: The need for conducting a group counseling program for adolescents is
crucial because they are in a very critical stage in their life. Group couselling for

Project Proposal: Effects of Climate Change
Project Proposal: Effects of Climate Change
The final research paper generated from the Project Proposal: Effects of Climate Change will
discuss the question, what Americans can do to reduce climate change health effects? Various
research publications by credible sources advise, global warming climate change has an affect on
human health. Climate change and the impact on human health can be connected through direct or
indirect variables.
The Importance
I feel as though if we start at a young age then we will encourage more young people to start
making some positive changes in their lives. This is an important issue to me because global warming
is an issue that just about everyone. Not enough people take the climate change situation...show more

I also want to persuade these young adults to start making some minor changes to their everyday
life so that we can stop causing changes to the climate, overall helping put an end to global warming
itself. A myth being said is that global warming is normal and that because civilization has survived
droughts and temperature shifts before, we can all adapt to climate change.
What I want my readers to learn, as well as myself, is that these current climate changes will bring
major hardships and economic dislocations. I want my readers to be able to really learn something
from my research. I hope they can learn the importance of global warming and the effects it has on
everyone. At the end of this research paper, we should all have a better understanding of what
exactly global warming is, what is causing the changes in the climate, and changes we can all make
to prevent these causes.
Logical and Emotional Appeals
Climate change has logical and emotional appeals that might best engage the intended reader to
become interested in reading further into the research paper that will be presented or perhaps spark
an overall general interest in the subject. Listed below are various logical and emotional appeals that
may draw the intended reader into the climate change subject area:

Do you know the similarities and differences between a funding proposal and a research proposal?
According to the website learnerassociates.net/proposal, writing a funding proposal was created to
help empower people to be successful in gaining funds for projects that provide worthwhile social
service. Aresearch proposal considers your overall topic ideas, your research question, your
research process, and your sources and scaffolds what the next steps will be for the project. There
are similarities and differences between writing a funding proposal and a research proposal.
A research proposal is most often written by scholars seeking grant funding for a research project or
it's the first step in getting approval to write a doctoral dissertation. Even if this is just a course
assignment, the introduction is the initial pitch of an idea or a thorough examination of the
significance of a research problem. After reading the introduction, readers should not only
understand what is being proposed. Most proposals do not include an abstract before the
introduction. Background and Significance, this section can be melded into your introduction or
you can create a separate section to help with the organization and narrative flow of your proposal.
This is where you explain the context of your proposal and describe in detail why it's important.
Approach writing this section with the thought that you can't assume your readers will know as
much about the research problem as you do. Note

Steps to Writing a Grant Proposal

For all organizations funding can be an issue. Depending if the organization is for profit, they depend
on loans and revenue to support them, building inventory, and expanding. While non–profits depend
on grants and donations to keep their organizations running. The most important with non–profits is
writing grant proposals to keep the financial aspects of the organization intact. Human services need
to take great care in who is responsible of writing grant proposals for their organization.

The project management aspects address staffing, their responsibilities, the organizational structure,
and how this program is related to past projects. The budget and budget justifications stage of

the detailed budget has projected. Items like the percentage to be spent on general expenses, salaries,
staffing, and travel are all important to funders; if the largest percent of administrative salaries exist,
the funder may require money be spent on other purposes. The other sources and amounts of funding
which have been committed should be disclosed in this section of the proposal.
An ending summary which pulls together the plan, the desired outcomes related to mission, goals
and objectives, the budgetary definitions, and how all interventions will best serve the clients

Part 1: The Differences between Formal Research and a Business Proposal Formal research and
business proposals may focus on researching the same problems and seek similar information, but
they have different "overall goals, sections, purposes and uses" (Jane, 2011). Understanding the
differences between the two can help a person be more effective in writing either a formal research
proposal or a business proposal. For a research proposal, the goals tend to focus on "finding
specific information or data that can help the business make better decisions, whether it is for the
budget, market or customers" (Jane, 2011). The research proposal has different sections than a
normal business proposal. The research proposal normally begins with an abstract and is in APA
format (PRISM, Unk.). Moreover, the ideas in a research proposal tend to be based on other
research and draws its information from other scholarly literature, preferably studies that have been
subject o peer review(PRISM, Unk.). It has an introduction and a conclusion. The problem in a
research project is carefully famed, "as a potential contribution to scholarly research" (PRISM,
Unk.). Furthermore, the research question is going to be stated in a way that is conducive to
research and allows for the easy identification of the independent and dependent variables (PRISM,
Unk.). It also generally has a methods section, which is not usually part of a business proposal. The
methods section will be qualitative,

A Research Proposal On Big Data
Research Proposal The research proposal can be developed from the topic of big data to match
up the demands of enormous data flow in the dynamic world. Data visualization tools at
significant cost can help up in analytics of big data and can form an innovative research proposal
for analysis and extensive research. The real time data and the use of techniques of big data in
this domain can form an excellent topic of research calling for formulating methodologies and
strategies to tap the untapped potential of this field and to experiment more in the field of
research. Since, real time processing acts as a game changer in big data the research developed
would be to have an insight into real time analytics and streaming data to analyze the flow and to
evaluate it using certain tools and techniques. This is one of the greatest challenge that is acting
as a key barrier in widespread adoption and pervasive use of the tools fostering for development
and progress in this field of study. The real time of the big data analytics would require some of
the unique features and special computing powers and potentials (Gantz, 2012). Tools have to made
specially advanced so as to incorporate process terms in real time (Chen, 2012). Every business

such distinct differences for a writer it helps in understanding for writing the formal research proposal

One solution that many businesses have started turning to, is human resource outsourcing. Basically,
this involves contracting all of your HR–related job duties out to a company that specializes in
providing HR support to other businesses. There are many different options when it comes to human

tasks which companies outsource including things like payroll processing, attendance and time
record keeping, and the filing of and paying of business taxes. Human resource professionals are
closely involved with the issues related to managing employees, including recruitment, training, and
employee turnover. Human resource professionals have a unique position within the organization as
advocates for the employee and as advisers for senior leadership Organizational HR practices build
employee commitment and loyalty and can offset the negative impact of turnover. Proactive HR
practices can reduce turnover with skill–building programs and learning for employees When
outsourcing occurs, internal employees may feel less trust in the organisation. This leads to reduced

internal employees and the external providers. Hence, the relationship between internal employees

Research Proposal: It addresses a particular project: academic or scientific research. It also contains
extensive literature reviews and must offer convincing support of need for the research study being

rationale for the proposed research, the proposal must describe a detailed methodology for

This might include the field site description, a description of the instruments you will use, and
particularly the data that you anticipate collecting. You may need to comment on site and resource
accessibility in the time frame and budget that you have available, to demonstrate feasibility, but
the emphasis in this section should be to fully describe specifically what data you will be using in
your study. Part of the purpose of doing this is to detect flaws in the plan before they become
problems in the research.

contribute to harmful inflammation throughout the body. A lot of this relates to the types of
foods we eat and how our bodies process those foods. In my own experience in trying to find the
right treatment options, diet was one of the first that I had to change. Things that are high in acid
like tomatoes could cause a painful flare up that could last from hours to days, or even months, so
eliminating this from my diet was one way to eliminate another painful flare. This book was
written with a copyright date of 2011, and since then, no changes have been made to IC Diet that I
could find in any of my sources. As part of the "other side of the debate", I did look for different
opinions on "opposing viewpoints" but could not find any articles that disputed any of the claims
that I have researched thus far. I did find that the AUA has

How To Write A Bullying Proposal
Dear Henry County School Board,
Personally, I have never been a victim in any shape or sort of bullying. However According to the
National Center For Education Statistics, there are 14.9 Million students in the U.S. and at least 47
Percent of them will be effected in some shape of bullying. That is over 6 Million kids in the U.S.
who will be impacted by bullying. It also states that girls are less likely to be contributors of
bullying, they still have the same effects or it can be just as bad as the boys bullying. According to
the National Bullying Prevention Center bullying happens in numerous places. Such as, Hallways,
Cafeteria, Classrooms, Bathroom, School buses, Social Media, Locker Rooms, And Outside of
school.
To prevent bullying in most of these places could be fairly simple. Hallways could be patrolled by
teachers and...show more content...
Teachers need to be more observant and more responsible, such as getting on to students when
they start to make fun of somebody or take pictures of them, etc. The bathrooms could be patrolled
by a certain person throughout the day, to make sure nobody is fighting or if a student is targeting
another student and wait for them to go to the bathroom, then they could stop that from happening.
On the school buses they could have assigned seats over time when the bus driver knows who is
who, and how they act around one another and keep the loud obnoxious ones in the front, and the
quiet ones in the back or vice versa. Social media would be up to the students to stop other students
from bulling them. On most social media such as Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc. Users have an
option to block other users of the application. The school board could hold a meeting about this if it
got too serious. Locker rooms during gym could be patrolled by the gym teachers while the students
are changing respectively to the gender

How To Write An Essay Proposal

  • 1. Crime Research Proposal RESEARCH PROPOSAL EXAMPLE 4. THIS PERSON RECEIVED A "9.8" INTRODUCTION Micheal Gottfredson and Travis Hirschi's general theory of crime purports to be able to predict all crime at all time and that a person's level of self–control is determined and unchangeable by age eight. This researcher saw this theory as an awfully broad statement and an extremely pessimistic view of human nature. By this logic, a person with a low score on the selfcontrol construct would be almost guaranteed to commit crime given the appropriate opportunity and little can be done to change that behavior. This researcher proposes that self–control can be learned and bolstered later in life through extensive behavior modification programs that work to curb the...show more content... Self–control theory enthusiasts claim that the characteristics of those with self–restraint are not well–matched with the elements that characterize criminal and deviants acts (Gibbs et al 1998), consequently this researcher hypothesizes that increasing self–control and restraint through behavior modification will make criminal sexual opportunity less appealing and therefore decrease recidivism. Dr. Lane, Research Proposal Ex 4, Spring 2001, page 2 LITERATURE REVIEW The general theory of crime is relatively new and controversial theory in the realm of criminology. Micheal Gottfredson and Travis Hirschi published A General Theory of Crime in 1990 and it went on to become the second most cited book in the entire 1990s (Pratt and Cullen, 2000). Their theory is based on the argument, not unlike Hirschi's social bonding theory that criminal activity is gratifying and the key to understanding participation in crime is discovering what prevents people from breaking the law. They contend that committing crime and other analogous behaviors (drinking, gambling, drug use, reckless driving, and unsafe sexual practices) start manifesting in conduct problems early in life. The term "low self–control" is used to describe the enduring "criminality" or "criminal propensity" that increases the likelihood that individuals will be unable to resist the easy, immediate Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 3. The Scientific Method Essay The Scientific Method is the standardized procedure that scientists are supposed to follow when conducting experiments, in order to try to construct a reliable, consistent, and non–arbitrary representation of our surroundings. To follow the Scientific Method is to stick very tightly to a order of experimentation. First, the scientist must observe the phenomenon of interest. Next, the scientist must propose a hypothesis, or idea in which the experiments will be based around. Then, through repeated experimentation, the hypothesis can either be proven false or become a theory. If the hypothesis is proven to be false, the scientist must reformulate his or her ideas and come up with another hypothesis, and the experimentation begins again. This...show more content... Furthermore, flies were observed laying eggs where the maggots formed. Thus, he concluded that maggots are the result of flies, not spontaneous generation. He then called the principles behind his experiment "Metodo Scientifico" or The Scientific Method. The first cases of what would be considered properly using the Scientific Method can be found earlier, though, back in the studies of Galileo, early in the 17th century. He first observed that heavy objects gain speed as they fall. He then proposed, or hypothesized, that the rate of falling of massive objects was proportional to the distance that the object has fallen. Following the Scientific Method, he tested his hypothesis and found it to be false, since objects falling unequal distances do not fall in the same amount of time, as his hypothesis led to. Since his hypothesis failed, he made a new one, which proposed that the rate at which an object falls is directly proportional to the time the object has spent falling. This was tested by rolling balls down an inclined plane and calculating the speed and time values from those observations. Later, these experiments led to the discovery of the gravitational constant g, and a better understanding of the Scientific Method. The Method has been used many times since Galileo conducted his experiments, and it has been considered a valid way of conducting experiments since Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is a process that schools must use with fidelity to ensure that at all students are given the opportunity to perform and achieve at exemplary levels. School improvement is vital to schools and it is a process that cannot be done in isolation. It requires team work, collaboration, and constant analysis of data and setting of goals. School improvement goals focus on how to meet the needs of students. Addressing the educational needs, funding, and achievement gaps between subgroups is collaborative effort involves everyone that has a vested interest in the schools. These basic measures set the foundation for improvement. And so, if it is the...show more content... This is the most difficult step for schools, however, when working together, with urgency and a mindset to improve, total transformation will occur. As we review and synthesize data of a district for planning school improvement, the following information is needed to access and determine the needs of a school. First, a thorough analysis of performance data must be reviewed to see how school districts measure up with state and federal accountability. During this process, it is very important that schools focus the performance indicators that will guarantee growth and success. School teams must refer to the districts mission and vision to guide the planning process. The performance indicators will provide data that will be beneficial in creating improvement strategies. So, after careful evaluation of the data, the next step would be to plan effective methods and strategies that will improve student achievement. Moreover, this plan should include needs, demographics and opportunities for students to be successful. Additionally, the baseline data is important information to include in the improvement plan. Data is always the best resource for trying to improve student achievement. The data will help guide continuous improvement of a plan. There are four types of data that will be beneficial to any team during the planning phase of the school improvement process. Demographics data, achievement data, perception Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is what spells the difference between success and failure, whether you're a freelancer or you have a company of your own. In today's cut–throat business world, entrepreneurs find themselves spending hours upon hours submitting business proposals to potential clients, and not get any results. On the other hand, there are those that are like snipers, able to get the contract after just submitting one business proposal. So how do they do it? Well, this article will teach you show you how to do just that. The Basics of a Business Proposal Before you even go and start writing that business proposal, you must first understand...show more content... Pricing Information For many clients, the pricing information is what will make them decide whether they would offer you the contract or not. How to write this part greatly depends on the solution or solutions you included in the previous segment. If the solution proposed will only entail a short period of time, a Fee Summary will suffice. For longer projects, segment these payments to specific milestones in a Fee Schedule list. Things to Remember When Writing a Business Proposal Now that you know the essentials of a winning business proposal, it's time to go ahead and start writing, right? Well, not exactly. The next part is to be able to find out what to put under the 3 Ps so that you can develop a business proposal that gets their attention and awards you that contract. Do Your Research Not all clients and buyers will give you the explicit details of their wants and needs, especially if you're submitting an unsolicited business proposal. Extend your research9 to include the competitors of your potential client, and their customers as well. This will ensure that your business proposal will be as comprehensive and as detailed as possible. Put Yourself in their Shoes Another thing to remember when writing a business proposal is to always put yourself in the shoes of your potential clients. Doing this will help you provide information on things that they would Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Scope This proposal will outline and validate the impending document generally. First the general nature of the document will be discussed; then the ensuing proposal will be outlined. DISCUSSION OF PROPOSAL Proposal The proposed document must be constructed to demonstrate the need for a new for–profit transportation service. It will present a business plan, and then go into detail about characteristics specific to this service. Methodology Information about competitive transportation services will be gathered. Questionnaires will be distributed to students and faculty of Kent State University in order to gather customer insight. Also, a financial consulting firm will be hired to provide professional assistance. Document Outline The proposed document will include the following specific sections. Proposal one and proposal two both suggest a specific type of fundraiser, include certain specifics on how to conduct the fundraiser, and include ideas about the people the fundraiser would appeal to. Proposal one suggests that the prime way to get people invested in the library is by presenting them with the joy of reading. For this reason, proposal one believes the library should hold a book sale, and in this book sale, people could donate books they no longer have a want for, and the librarians could find books the library no longer needs. Furthermore, the books should be inexpensive so more people would be willing to buy them. For example, fifty cents for paperback books and two dollars for hardcover books. Part 1: The Differences between Formal Research and a Business Proposal Formal research and business proposals may focus on researching the same problems and seek similar information, but they have different "overall goals, sections, purposes and uses" (Jane, 2011). Moreover, the ideas in a research proposal tend to be based on other research and draws its information from other scholarly literature, preferably studies that have been subject o peer review(PRISM, Unk.). It has an introduction and a conclusion. The problem in a research project is carefully famed, "as a potential contribution to scholarly research" (PRISM, Unk.). Furthermore, the research question is going to be stated in a way that is conducive to research and allows for the easy identification of the independent and dependent variables (PRISM, Unk.).
