countries in Europe
Berlin was the center for Russian immigrants
But there were only a few immigrants who were looking for work in Germany

Before the famous wall between East and West Germany was built many people
fled from the Russian rule
Many people also left their home because they had family in the other part of
Germany
There were also people who fled to have better chances to find work and to get
a better education.

1950 East-Germany invited students from North Vietnam
1979 War in Vietnam, for that reason many people came per ship
After 1986 people were invited from whole Vietnam
About 100.000 people of Vietnam came to East-Germany

those guest workers who had stayed in Germany fetched their families from
their home countries
today these families still live in Germany but they never were part of an
integration programme.
