Open SUNY COTE, in collaboration with campus stakeholders, has developed an online course review and enhancement model that builds on current research and best practices to offer a team approach to the review, refresh, and continuous improvement of online courses and degrees. The process begins with an online Course Review using the OSCQR (Open SUNY COTE Quality Review) Rubric, which has 37 standards and is designed to be conducted by a team that comprises a variety of perspectives. These include those of the online instructional designer, multimedia/technologist, librarian, instructor/subject matter expert, or peer. The OSCQR Rubric has a number of unique features; it is easily customizable to the needs of each campus or program by allowing for prioritization of the standards and creation of additional standards via a dashboard feature. The results generate analytics for the campus, as well as an action plan for the online Course Refresh process, which results in enhancements/improvements to the design of the course. This presentation introduces the OSCQR Process and showcases the unique and customizable features and standards of the OSCQR Rubric! http://bit.ly/OSCQR http://sysadm.mediasite.suny.edu/Mediasite/Play/5ec660471291418eb71e321fc66addd21d - link to the recording
