William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon and went on to have a successful career as a playwright and poet in London, founding a theatre company and writing some of the most famous plays in English literature. He was married with three children, one of whom died at a young age, and accumulated wealth and property in Stratford before retiring back to his hometown, where he died at the age of 52 and was buried.

6. The acting company (Lord Chamberlain where Shakespeare worked built a new theatre: the Globe Shakespeare's dad,John, died and he inherited the arms and the right to style himself as a gentleman
7. James I granted royal patronage to Shakespeare's acting company which became the “King's Men”. The King's Men aquired an indoor theatre, the Blackfriars, to use in addition to the Globe.
8. A fire broke out and destroyed the Globe Shakespeare's daughter, Judith, married Thomas Quiney. The 23 April, at 52 years old, Shakespeare died in Stratford.
9. Anne, his wife, died and was buried beside him, in Holy Trinity Church.
