Test Taking Strategies for the
TOEIC
会話問題
 39問
 2人または3人の人物による会話が1度だけ放送さ
れる。印刷はされていない。会話を聞いて問題用
紙に印刷された設問(設問は放送される)と解答
を読み、4つの答えの中から最も適当なものを選
び解答用紙にマークする。会話の中で聞いたこと
と、問題用紙に印刷された図などで見た情報を関
連づけて解答する設問もある。 各会話には設問
が3問ずつある。
Directions
 In this part of the test, you will hear some
conversations between two people. You will be
asked to answer three questions about what the
speakers say in each conversation. Select the
best response to each question and mark the
letter (A), (B), (C), or (D) on your answer sheet.
The conversations will not be printed in your test
booklet and will be spoken only one time.
Strategies
 Look at the questions for key words, especially
the question word(s):
 Listen to the conversation for the context, what it
is about. In most conversations, one person
needs something, has a problem, or has an
opinion about something.
 Listen for words and phrases that are
emphasized.

解答のための方策
 キーワードを得るために設問をよく読むこと。特
に疑問詞(who, why, how longなど)に注目する。
 状況や何について話しているかを把握するように
して会話を聞くこと。ほとんどの会話は、話し手
の一方が何かを必要としていたり、問題を抱えて
いたり、何かについての意見を持っているという
ものである。
 強調されている語句に注意して聞くこと。
