Air Energi delivers Integrated Project Solution services for oil and gas clients located in every region across the world,
which requires specialist knowledge and experience.
We provide high-quality support to client operations not just in mature markets but also more remote, less well-
developed locations becoming prominent within the global energy supply chain, such as Papua New Guinea, Iraq and
East Africa.
Our strength lies in the knowledge and experience gained by our Project Account Managers delivery of complex world-
scale projects, and our global resources to orchestrate the natural flow of mobilisations through all project cycles and

Our Integrated Project Solutions ensure that we can support clients with their
workforce needs from the conceptual phase of a project right through to first
production. Throughout all phases of the project our clients can rely on a dedicated
Account Manager who acts as the single interface for all workforce requirements
for a project to streamline and simplify communication and activity between all

Key risks and challenges facing any project in a competitive market are not
just limited to the availability and attraction of suitable talent; it can include
attractiveness of project locations, favourability of tax legislation, competitive
rates and the ability to retain talent for long project durations; especially in the
last six months of a project.

To identify people related-risk within a specific project, Air Energi, together with Queensland University of Technology
(QUT) have developed the PREP™ analysis tool. Following the completion of a detailed questionnaire the tool provides
a comprehensive breakdown of the six critical areas of people-risk within the project and is used to help set the
parameters to mitigate those risks.

Building a strong relationship with the project management team is key to
developing the workforce strategy. All of our Integrated Project Solutions are
developed based on the unique requirements of the individual project.
To develop the strategy and structure of the Integrated Project Solutions team,
we work closely with our clients to gain a clear understanding of the following:

The ability to access and secure talent in a timely and systematic fashion is critical
to ensuring the successful completion of a project.
As well as a database containing 150,000 pre-qualified skilled candidates, we
continuously invest in methods to reach out to both passive and active candidates,
including job boards, forums and social media. These methods give our recruiters
access to 1 million oil and gas professionals worldwide.
Our 200+ recruitment staff are specialists in every discipline area within the oil

Ensuring that a project workforce is mobilised safely and compliantly is not just
important to the client, it is also critical to the mind set and effectiveness of those
joining the project. At Air Energi, we have 150 specialists dedicated to delivering
our expert Global Mobility Services. Each of our specialists are trained locally to
understand immigration, visas, international payroll, income tax, human resources
and destination services.
A typical pre-mobilisation consultation would include:

locations and support required can increase substantially. Air Energi‘s Global
Mobility Services are there to mitigate any risks for personnel deployed overseas
and to ensure a smooth relocation process. Each contractor is assigned a dedicated
global mobility specialist who has knowledge of the client, project locations and
relocation procedures. The contractor will remain with the same Global Mobility
consultant for the duration of the project.

Throughout the project there will inevitably be changes to requirements, locations
and schedules. We develop our Integrated Project Solutions to be flexible enough
to deal with changes as we appreciate the challenges that a project can face.
As part of our on-going workforce management we focus on retaining the
engagement and commitment of talent throughout the duration of the project.
Understanding the importance of this is vital to ensuring continuity and consistency
for the project and to avoid costly delays.
We take great care to ensure that our consultants are satisfied with our service
and their work. In our on-going satisfaction surveys our services consistently rate
highly among our consultants.

Communication is very important for our contractors which is why we schedule
regular calls, deliver prompt feedback to queries and operate a 24/7 local
emergency support line should there be any urgent issues.
Our Global Mobility teams will support consultants through pre-mobilisation to
mobilisation and repatriation/ re-deployment. As well as relocation support, we
also take on the function of an HR team to manage consultant’s needs throughout
the life of their contract.

Case Study - ConocoPhillips
ConocoPhillips - Jasmine
Air Energi delivers complete manpower solution for US$5bn project
Background
ConocoPhillips is the world’s largest independent exploration and production company. They explore for, produce,
transport and market crude oil, bitumen, natural gas, natural gas liquids and liquefied natural gas on a worldwide basis
and have activities in 29 countries.
In 2006 ConocoPhillips discovered the Jasmine field and located one of the largest finds in the UK’s North Sea since the
mid 1990s.
Challenge
In October 2008, Air Energi was engaged in a search campaign to recruit ten senior members of the Jasmine project
engineering and management team. Following a successful campaign, Air Energi was tasked with providing all
contract manpower requirements and associated mobilisation services for the life of the project; ensuring low attrition,
efficient recruitment processes and smooth on-boarding. This required sourcing, deploying and mobilising hundreds of
multinational consultants across seven locations in five countries.
Air Energi Solution
Once awarded the contract, Air Energi appointed a dedicated Account Manager and support team who worked closely
with the Jasmine leadership team to coordinate recruitment against the project manpower schedule, whilst ensuring
strict compliance with legal, fiscal and immigration legislation for all consultants.
Recruitment began in three UK locations for Greenfield, Brownfield and pipeline engineering and a year later was
followed by fabrication yards in Spain, Italy and UAE. Mobilisation of core teams to the yards began within three weeks
of the contracts being awarded. 30% of consultants were sourced locally for Spain and Italy and costs were controlled
in the UAE by providing the bulk of quality and commissioning consultants from the Philippines and Singapore, all of
whom had previous ConocoPhillips experience. Finally, Air Energi deployed over 90 personnel offshore Aberdeen for the
hook-up phase, 28 of which were retained from the yard in Spain.
Result
By the time first production was achieved in November 2013, Air Energi had on-boarded 426 consultants. 288 consultants
were employed at peak, and the project achieved 96% conversion offer to start, maintained an average “time to hire”
of just 20 days and an unprecedented conversion rate of four CV’s per start.

Case Study - Australia Pacific
Australia Pacific LNG
Air Energi helps Origin Energy overcome acute skills shortage in Australia to deliver
Background
Origin Energy, a major Australian energy provider, partnered with exploration and production company ConocoPhillips to
build Australia’s largest coal seam gas to liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant. The US$22bn Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG)
project will export 4.5 million tonnes of LNG per annum from two LNG trains and has scope to increase capacity through
an additional two trains to 18.5 metric tonnes per annum.
Challenge
In 2010, Origin Energy faced growing concerns of the immigration compliance for some of the personnel working on the
project. Exacerbated by the acute skills crisis in Australia, Origin Energy worked with Air Energi to source and deploy
personnel from a global talent pool who could work legally and compliantly on the project. As the project was already
underway, the consultants needed to be sourced and deployed quickly to achieve the project schedule.
Air Energi Solution
To ensure that they could supply personnel compliantly, Air Energi underwent a stringent due diligence process with
Australia’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection to obtain an On-Hire Labour Agreement (457 visa program).
Once in possession of this agreement, Air Energi was able to provide a wholly compliant solution to Origin Energy for the
mobilisation of over 130 expatriate personnel into Australia to ensure successful project delivery. As well as high volumes
of individual personnel, Air Energi also provided complete project teams to the APLNG project.
Result
A recent Origin Energy audit showed that Air Energi ranked as the number one supplier for compliance, speed and
accuracy in obtaining 457 visas. Air Energi is now the largest provider of manpower to Origin Energy and are solely
responsible for all 457 visas for the APLNG project. The next phase of the project will see Air Energi supply Commissioning,
Pipeline Connection and Operations and Maintenance teams to the project in 2014.

Integrated Project Solutions Air Energi draws upon decades of experience and lessons learned from delivering major capital projects as prime or sole manpower vendor to deliver our Integrated Project Solutions. Our dedicated Integrated Project Solutions delivery team coordinate the recruitment and Global Mobility of talent to ensure that our clients have the right people in place to support every stage of the project lifecycle. Integrated Project Solutions combines our Global Mobility and Talent Acquisition expertise to provide a fully managed approach to supporting the workforce of projects no matter their scale or location. Throughout all phases of the project our clients can rely on a dedicated Account Manager who acts as the single interface for all workforce requirements for a project to streamline and simplify communication and activity between all parties. Following the completion of a detailed questionnaire the tool provides a comprehensive breakdown of the six critical areas of people-risk within the project and is used to help set the parameters to mitigate those risks. All of our Integrated Project Solutions are developed based on the unique requirements of the individual project. To develop the strategy and structure of the Integrated Project Solutions team, we work closely with our clients to gain a clear understanding of the following: • Project scope • Definition of reporting lines, responsibilities and key stakeholders • Potential location scoping • Assess impacts of bid location (potential effects on cost & schedule per location) • Employment law effects and implications to cost & schedule • Rate and package benchmarking Recruit The ability to access and secure talent in a timely and systematic fashion is critical to ensuring the successful completion of a project. At Air Energi, we have 150 specialists dedicated to delivering our expert Global Mobility Services. Each of our specialists are trained locally to understand immigration, visas, international payroll, income tax, human resources and destination services. Air Energi‘s Global Mobility Services are there to mitigate any risks for personnel deployed overseas and to ensure a smooth relocation process. Each contractor is assigned a dedicated global mobility specialist who has knowledge of the client, project locations and relocation procedures. The contractor will remain with the same Global Mobility consultant for the duration of the project. We develop our Integrated Project Solutions to be flexible enough to deal with changes as we appreciate the challenges that a project can face. As part of our on-going workforce management we focus on retaining the engagement and commitment of talent throughout the duration of the project. Understanding the importance of this is vital to ensuring continuity and consistency for the project and to avoid costly delays. We take great care to ensure that our consultants are satisfied with our service and their work. In our on-going satisfaction surveys our services consistently rate highly among our consultants. • 95% of consultants would work with Air Energi again • 94% of consultants would recommend Air Energi to their friends and colleagues Communication is very important for our contractors which is why we schedule regular calls, deliver prompt feedback to queries and operate a 24/7 local emergency support line should there be any urgent issues. Our Global Mobility teams will support consultants through pre-mobilisation to mobilisation and repatriation/ re-deployment. As well as relocation support, we also take on the function of an HR team to manage consultant’s needs throughout the life of their contract.
  • 12. © Air Energi 201410 www.airenergi.com Case Study - ConocoPhillips ConocoPhillips - Jasmine Air Energi delivers complete manpower solution for US$5bn project Background ConocoPhillips is the world’s largest independent exploration and production company. They explore for, produce, transport and market crude oil, bitumen, natural gas, natural gas liquids and liquefied natural gas on a worldwide basis and have activities in 29 countries. In 2006 ConocoPhillips discovered the Jasmine field and located one of the largest finds in the UK’s North Sea since the mid 1990s. Challenge In October 2008, Air Energi was engaged in a search campaign to recruit ten senior members of the Jasmine project engineering and management team. Following a successful campaign, Air Energi was tasked with providing all contract manpower requirements and associated mobilisation services for the life of the project; ensuring low attrition, efficient recruitment processes and smooth on-boarding. This required sourcing, deploying and mobilising hundreds of multinational consultants across seven locations in five countries. Air Energi Solution Once awarded the contract, Air Energi appointed a dedicated Account Manager and support team who worked closely with the Jasmine leadership team to coordinate recruitment against the project manpower schedule, whilst ensuring strict compliance with legal, fiscal and immigration legislation for all consultants. Recruitment began in three UK locations for Greenfield, Brownfield and pipeline engineering and a year later was followed by fabrication yards in Spain, Italy and UAE. Mobilisation of core teams to the yards began within three weeks of the contracts being awarded. 30% of consultants were sourced locally for Spain and Italy and costs were controlled in the UAE by providing the bulk of quality and commissioning consultants from the Philippines and Singapore, all of whom had previous ConocoPhillips experience. Finally, Air Energi deployed over 90 personnel offshore Aberdeen for the hook-up phase, 28 of which were retained from the yard in Spain. Result By the time first production was achieved in November 2013, Air Energi had on-boarded 426 consultants. 288 consultants were employed at peak, and the project achieved 96% conversion offer to start, maintained an average “time to hire” of just 20 days and an unprecedented conversion rate of four CV’s per start.
  • 13. 11© Air Energi 2014 www.airenergi.com Case Study - Australia Pacific Australia Pacific LNG Air Energi helps Origin Energy overcome acute skills shortage in Australia to deliver Background Origin Energy, a major Australian energy provider, partnered with exploration and production company ConocoPhillips to build Australia’s largest coal seam gas to liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant. The US$22bn Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project will export 4.5 million tonnes of LNG per annum from two LNG trains and has scope to increase capacity through an additional two trains to 18.5 metric tonnes per annum. Challenge In 2010, Origin Energy faced growing concerns of the immigration compliance for some of the personnel working on the project. Exacerbated by the acute skills crisis in Australia, Origin Energy worked with Air Energi to source and deploy personnel from a global talent pool who could work legally and compliantly on the project. As the project was already underway, the consultants needed to be sourced and deployed quickly to achieve the project schedule. Air Energi Solution To ensure that they could supply personnel compliantly, Air Energi underwent a stringent due diligence process with Australia’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection to obtain an On-Hire Labour Agreement (457 visa program). Once in possession of this agreement, Air Energi was able to provide a wholly compliant solution to Origin Energy for the mobilisation of over 130 expatriate personnel into Australia to ensure successful project delivery. As well as high volumes of individual personnel, Air Energi also provided complete project teams to the APLNG project. Result A recent Origin Energy audit showed that Air Energi ranked as the number one supplier for compliance, speed and accuracy in obtaining 457 visas. Air Energi is now the largest provider of manpower to Origin Energy and are solely responsible for all 457 visas for the APLNG project. The next phase of the project will see Air Energi supply Commissioning, Pipeline Connection and Operations and Maintenance teams to the project in 2014.

Provided immigration compliance, visas, work permits, meet and greet service and medical cover. Enquest Knightsbridge 2012 - 2014 Germany, UK Prime vendor for Enquest’s commissioning teams. Sourced all commissioning personnel during the conversion of the Enquest Producer FPSO. Enquest Kraken 2013 - 2015 UK, Singapore Prime vendor for all contract personnel. Sourced all construction and commissioning personnel for an FPSO conversion. Provided full mobilisation support and managed logistics. Premier Oil Sea Lion 2013 - 2018 UK, USA, Falkland Islands Prime vendor for sourcing all contract and staff per- sonnel. Sourced all contract and permanent person- nel across all major disciplines through all project phases for a tension leg platform, floating storage unit and associated SURF from concept onwards. Full mobilisation support was provided, including provision of immigration compliance, visas and work permits.
