Mummies were created by removing organs, drying the body with salt, and wrapping it in linen bandages.

Then they placed the body in a liquid called natron until the tissues were dried out. 4. Finally, the wrapped the body in many layers of linen bandages and placed it in the coffin. 5. This process required 70 days.
