RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format which
allows you to stay well informed with new information
from the Internet without having to browse from website
to website.
Using an RSS Feed Reader or Aggregator allows a
subscriber to pull in the RSS feeds from various sites.
Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate
content automatically.

Applicability
1. Future Work – I will be able to use this tool no
matter what I may do in the future: Teaching
English as an Additional Language (EAL), Facilitating
Workshops, or Project Based Learning.
2. Personal Use – I can use this tool to subscribe to
feeds in entertainment, news, health, travel, etc.
3. Current Work – I can see this tool working for
Employment Manitoba to grab current up-to-date
information on Labour Market Information, New
Courses provided by Post-Secondary Colleges or
Universities, and News Releases from the Manitoba
Government. We currently have access through
Microsoft Outlook to pull in feeds.

tool to a variety of websites on Emerging
Technologies and Digital Learning.
