Briefly review research experiences on
enset
Identify research gaps and opportunities
Draft system oriented research protocol
together with Africa RISING local and CG
core partners
4. Why enset is a research agenda for AR project?
It is high value crop in one of its research sites
(Lemo-Hadiya)
The PCA and other AR diagnostic studies
identified- pests and diseases, and labour
intensive enset processing practices as priority
constraints
Low productivity of enset has become a concern
of AR partners in the south
The attractiveness and potential of the crop for
system oriented and integrated research work
