20. Blockchain
Blockchain is the technology the underpins digital currency. Allows digital
information to be distributed, but not copied. That means each individual piece
of data can only have one owner.
You may hear it described as a “digital ledger” stored in a distributed network.
“Picture a spreadsheet that is duplicated thousands of times across a network
of computers. Then imagine that this network is designed to regularly update
this spreadsheet and you have a basic understanding of the blockchain.”
22. Developed in partnership with Nasdaq, NYIAX uses blockchain technology for the
advertising industry. NYIAX provides advertisers and publishers a platform to buy,
sell, and re-trade premium advertising contracts in a forward/futures methodology.
28. the Sprint IoT Factory, an online marketplace where SMBs to enterprises can buy out-of-
the-box IoT software, as an example. Software is delivered in as few as two days with no IT
expertise needed for installation, according to a Sprint press release. The digital store sells
software for everything from refrigeration temperature monitoring for
grocery/convenience stores, to energy management tools, as well as access to developers
to build custom solutions.
41. “In a fascinating merging of
creativity and technology,
the humans at J. Walter
Thompson in Amsterdam
taught a computer to paint
like Rembrandt by having it
study the old master's
works for months. The
resulting painting is a
completely new portrait,
not a replica, and it’s
indistinguishable—to my
eye, at least—from the real
thing.” Adweek

42. “There are 8,000 new research
papers on cancer posted every
day. It’s not feasible for even a
team of experts to read through
all of this … in 30 percent of
patients Watson identified a
treatment that a well-meaning,
hard-working group of physicians
hadn’t found.”

43. Researchers from Stanford University analyzed millions of pictures and
created Imagenet. Ai computers use a LIDAR radar system similar to hand
