1. SPORT AND SPECIAL BAGGAGE
We want you to be able to continue your sports activities even when you are travelling. For this
reason, we offer you special excess baggage rates for sports baggage.
The types of sports equipment
Ski/water ski equipment One pair of skis, one pair of ski sticks, boots,
one snowboard, one pair of standard water
skis or one slalom water ski.
Golf equipment One golf bag including golf clubs, balls and
one pair of golf shoes.
Surfboards Surfboards longer than 200 cm are classified
as windsurfing boards
Windsurfing boards and hang gliders The maximum permissible weight for this
equipment is 50 kg
Diving equipment Diving suit and jacket, mask, snorkel, fins,
regulator, lamp (switched off, energy source
separately packed, removed battery protected
against short circuit), packed together in a bag
plus one empty tank bottle.
Angling equipment One bait box, angler bag or basket, and one
rod, bag or box.
Weapons and ammunition Weapons used for sport or hunting must be
declared and are then only charged for if they
are transported in a separate weapons case.
Small weapons, which are packed in checked
baggage and which do not exceed the free
baggage allowance, will not incur a charge.
Exception: an additional charge is always
levied in the following countries: South Africa
€50, Italy €60, Turkey €30.
Other special baggage Special fees and conditions apply to the
transport of musical instruments, bulky
baggage items and other special baggage.
THE RULES OF TRANSPORTATION
Weight concept
Transportation of sports equipment is free of charge if the total weight of checked baggage
together with sports equipment doesn’t exceed the free baggage allowance for a specific route
in corresponding service class.
If the actual weight of transported baggage together with sports equipment is exceeded the
excess baggage fee is paid according to the fixed fee which is apllied for each specific route
(Table 1)

Exceptions:
For internal flights:
The transportation of sports equipment is free of charge if the total weight of registered
baggage together with sports equipment does not exceed the free baggage allowance in the
corresponding service class.
If the actual weight of transported baggage together with sports equipment is exceeded the
excess baggage fee is paid according to existed on the corresponding route.
For routes Tbilisi-Kiev-Tbilisi
The transportation of one skiing equipment (up to 15kg) is free of charge despite of the weight
of passenger’s registered baggage.
For routes Sofia-Kiev-Sofia
The transportation of sports equipment is free of charge if the total weight of registered
baggage together with sports equipment does not exceed the free baggage allowance for
corresponding route.
If the actual weight of baggage which is transported together with sports equipment is
exceeded the payment for excess baggage is paid according to the excess baggage fees.
Piece Concept
Transportation of skiing equipment is free of charge if the total weight of checked baggage
piece doesn’t exceed the free baggage allowance in corresponding service class.
Despite of actual equipment sizes it is considered as a baggage within allowed sizes.
The total quantity of free checked baggage pieces should be determined according to Airline’s
current free baggage allowances.

Transportation of sports equipment in case of combined flight (Airline's flight+ flight of
Alliance participant (Donbassaero, Dniproavia) or vice versa)
In case of combined flight a passenger pays for transportation of sports equipment according to
the Airline’s rules stated above.
