Dotka are a national digital media company and they have
made their media production resources available to the
students at the Media Enterprise Summer Camp.
You will have to work independently and use your initiative to
problem solve as you produce a new digital media product or
service.
The representatives from Dotka have asked for a review of
both the end product or service and the development and
application of your enterprise skills.
Task 1
Use your enterprise skills to plan and produce a new digital
media product or service.
The product or service you create should demonstrate
creativity through the technical application of suitable
production skills and techniques. It should also adhere to
appropriate codes and conventions.

Throughout the process compile an enterprise skills portfolio
including written, visual and recorded oral evidence of the use
of enterprise skills used in the planning and production process.
The portfolio should include evidence of:
● processes and techniques used to create the product or
service
● how the product or service meets the requirements of
the brief
● how the product or service adheres to appropriate codes
and conventions.
Your enterprise skills portfolio will also document where and
how you applied enterprise skills within the planning and
production process, which may include:
● how you used initiative and solved problems
● independent and team working
● time management skills demonstrated.

Your evaluation must comprehensively show how your
application of enterprise skills affected the planning and
production of your media product or service.
Review your end product or service and evaluate how it fully
meets your intentions as stated within the planning stages. To
inform the review, you must gather comprehensive audience
feedback from members of the target audience/users of the
product or service.
Your evaluation should discuss the extent to which your
product/service fulfils its original purpose.
You should also include specific, detailed examples of:
● the success, or otherwise, of the techniques and
processes used throughout the production stages
● the effectiveness of the practical and technical skills
used to create the product/service
● your application of enterprise skills throughout the
entire production and how these helped to meet your
intentions.
