19. The Bangalore University has declared and awarded a
gold medal and cash prize to our College student who
has secured highest marks in political science during
the year 2011.
One student of our college has cleared main KAS
competitive examination got appointed from KPSC
worked as assistant commissioner of BBMP Bangalore.
More than 10 students clear from KPSC competitive
examination of KES and got appointment as a
probationary Head Masters.
O3 Students has cleared NET/SLET Exam and worked
as Guest Faculty.

20. 01 student of our college cleared P.hd and worked as
associate professor of Economics in post graduate
department Kolar.

The Bangalore University has conducted the BA degree
semester examination during the year 2011. our college
student Kum. K.N.Shilpa has secured 1965 out 2400
marks.
And also she has secured 659 marks out of 800 marks
in political science the Bangalore University has
declared Gold Medal and cash prize to K.N.Shilpa.the
Bangalore University is biggest University in Karnataka.

25. The University has 70 Govt. First Grade Colleges, 52
Aided First Grade Colleges and 456 un-aided First Grade
Colleges. Out of 678 colleges more than 3 lakhs students
appeared for the semester examinations during may
2011 in Bangalore University.
6000 students were opting in BA Political Science as
optional subject, K.N.Shilpa was student of our college has
secured highest marks in Political Science may 2011
semester examination of Bangalore University. She was
the only one student has secured highest marks out of
6000 students.

27. Department of Political Science students have been
visited four Grama Panchyat Offices along with their
teachers on different dates in Gowribidanur Taluk,
Chikkaballapur Dist. Karnataka State. We discussed
about the power and functions of Gramapanchayat.
Asked some questions relating to powers of the
president and how he is discharging his duties and
responsibilities in the panchayat. How much grants
allotted by the state and central Govt. how that amount
has to be spent in various purposes.

28. Whether the concerned secretary is maintained the records
properly or not according to the guidelines of the Govt.
everything we observed and noted the names of some important
records to create awareness in the minds of the students. The
secretary, president, vice president and some members of the
Panchayat has been attended and discussed a lot the students
asked some questions regarding the functions of the Grama
Panchayat. And we advised the president and vice president to
attend the various meetings and trainings conducted by the
different departments in connections with the rural development
projects may be implemented in their respective villages.

29. When we have visited 4 Grama Panchayat offices, most of the
presidents of the Grama Panchayat are illiterates and ignorance.
They did not have a minimum qualification and also lack of
awareness about the role of president. If they are illiterate, most
of the secretaries in the Grama Panchayat are going to mis-guide
the president and overtake some powers.
The students of our college were happy to attend the Grama
Panchayat to Know the practical experience and exchange their
ideas, views and knowledge. In the meanwhile it creates
awareness in the minds of our students while they are attending
the Grama Panchayat.

Deteriorating students strength in the course.

Economic background and they may not have good
academic background.
