These leaders and their organizations have pioneered the community-based natural resource management program, made breakthrough discoveries regarding elephant communication, and founded schools for local tribes among numerous other accomplishments.Cape Namibia Road Trip - A road trip under huge skies, purring along in an open car or on a big bike? A family holiday that’s unforgettable for all the right reasons? Eating crayfish, freshly caught and grilled on the beach? Walking through fields with a million brightly coloured flowers? South Africa’s mother city at Africa’s southern tip is a place of unions. Two of the world’s great oceans surge together off its shores. Primal weather systems swirl northwards, bringing the climatic conditions for the globally unique Cape Floral Kingdom, one of six worldwide floral kingdoms. More than that, Cape Town is a confluence of cultures, with a thriving economy and a vibrant, diverse society.Fish River Canyon Ultra (July 2012) - The Fish River Canyon is the second largest canyon in the world, surpassed only by the famous Grand Canyon in Colorado, USA. The Canyon is stark, rugged, magnificently desolate and harshly unforgiving. The Fish River Challenge is a 90km non-stop self-supporting race whereby runners will be expected to complete the course in 24 hours. Water will be supplied at designated checkpoints that will also serve to monitor progress of the various athletes and provide updates to the organizers. The race will commence at the top of the world famous Fish River Canyon where the race village for the first evening will be positioned on the edge with magnificent views.
