Social MediaGreat equalizer. Offer another way of reaching out and being reached. I’m not saying online tools are better. It all depends on your point of view. Today’s devices allow a multi-way conversation in real time or in asynchronous time. So with the new technologies, you have the possibility of meeting with others in ways that aren't limited by time and place.Broader support for the things that you are interested in because your group of peers just expanded to world wide. This also broadens your perspective. Most important thing to remember: with social media and social networking, YOU can CREATE content alone or with others, SHARE with others, RECEIVE FEEDBACK, and make new FRIENDS. More and more of this can be done using only handheld devices.
