2. SEASONED:
cause somebody to gain experience - to cause or
enable somebody to gain experience and become more
skilled, or to gain toughness and strength
INFLUENCE :
effect on something; power to sway; special
advantage
YOUTH:
time when somebody is young - the period of human
life between childhood and maturity
3. SEASONED:
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt,
that you may know how you ought to answer each one. ~Col
4:6
INFLUENCE :
"For everyone will be tested with fire. Salt is good for
seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty
again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves
and live in peace with each other." ~ Mark 9:49-50
YOUTH:
Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your
Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and
say, "Life is not pleasant anymore. ~Eccl 12:1
4. "Let me tell you why you are here. You're here
to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-
flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness,
how will people taste godliness? You've lost
your usefulness and will end up in the
garbage.
"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be
light, bringing out the God-colors in the
world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're
going public with this, as public as a city on a
hill.
5. Throughout a lifetime, we are influenced by
many factors which contribute toward our
values, beliefs and moral judgments – and
eventually contribute toward our behavior.
People are influenced by multiple things in
life including relationships, family, parents,
friends, experiences, sexuality, maturity,
intellect, education, religious beliefs and
convictions. ~Family, Society & Church
6. A group of people living together and functioning as a
single household
The family, as a lineage is the basic unity of the society
today s a mirror of the values…
Parents are in the business of leaving their children at
home for housemaid
Family has lost its traditional grasp of youths
Parents have the right to impose their beliefs on their kids,
that's what being a parent is all about, however when the
kid is old enough to make up its own mind
If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he
is old he will not be turned away from it. ~Prov 22:6
7. I believe teenagers are influenced predominately
by the media during a critical time in their mental
development. This is further complicated by the
fact that most youth are home alone often and
they lack parental influence. Their mentoring is
done via the media through video games, movies,
the internet and music.
“Teenagers spend: 1/2 hour a week with Dad alone,
2-1/2 hours a week with Mom alone, 5 hours a week
doing home work, 2 hours a week reading, and 24
hours a week watching television” (Walsh, 1999).
8. “Most youths watch an average of 3 to 4
hours of TV per day, approximately 28 hours
each week.
Watching TV is the #1 after-school activity
for youths.
Each year most youths spend about 1500
hours in front of the TV and 900 hours in the
classroom.
By age 35, most youth will have spent about 5
years watching TV”.
9. Youths will increase anti-social and aggressive
behavior.
Youths may become less sensitive to violence &
Victims.
Youths may view the world as violent and mean.
Youths who watch a lot of TV have a greater risk of
obesity & poor reading habit
Youths who watch 4 or more hours of TV per day
spend less time on school work
Youths will view violence as an acceptable way to
settle conflicts
10. A structured community of people bound together by
similar traditions, institutions, or nationality (state of
being with other people)
The value system of the society is a classic course of
influence for the youth
Members of the society are modules in modeling the
youth (Role Models)
Dear friend, don't let this bad example influence
you. Follow only what is good. Remember that
those who do good prove that they are God's
children, and those who do evil prove that they do
not know God. ~3 John 11
11. And let not your behaviour be like that of this
world, but be changed and made new in mind,
so that by experience you may have knowledge
of the good and pleasing and complete purpose
of God. ~Rom 12:2
PEER PRESSURE: Social network has become a
promiscuous habit among youths
Drugs (Beer), Games (Video), Gambling
(Football fan), Materialistic, Sex, Child Farm,
Slave/Sex Trade

talent, strength, vitality and versatility..?
Youths are resources, empirically
13. Making a living by giving:
